Actually, they can run, but only if they are made that way. I refer to Encyclopaedia Arcana - Constructs for validity. Or rather, I should say, I have read so - to be less confrontational. In anycase, at the time in which this situation occurs the construct does not have the key, otherwise he would have free will.
