Teleporting scroll case

Here's something else for you.

Teleporting scroll cases are always made in pairs. Primarily used as communication between major cities or between military groups, these items have the ability to transport their contents between the two cases. When a scroll, or other similar item (such as a scroll carrying military orders) is placed into one case and the command word spoken, the contents are instantly transported to the second case in the pair. The receiving case will glow faintly from within, alerting its carrier that it has received something from the other case.

This ability fails if the receiving case is not empty. In such a case, the item being transported simply vanishes, presumably to the astral plane where it is quickly torn apart. The user of the sending case has no way of determining whether his package reached its destination.

The cases can be used a combined total of 3 times per day.

Moderate Conjuration (teleportation); CL 13th; Craft Wondrous Item, teleport object; Price 75,000 gp.
The pricing isn't exact (going straight by the table, this would be 109,000ish), but because of the limited circumstances where something like this would be useful, I thought it made sense to reduce the cost.

Overpriced, for the most part.

If you get a lock of hair from each of your commanders (or trusted messengers who will be near your commanders - you want low will save types), and a Crystal Ball with Telepathy in it, and once per hour, for seven minutes at a time, you get two-way reliable communication (will save DC 16, but at a -10 penalty, so nat-20 territory for for the flunky to avoid the Scrying) with instant situational feedback and no risk of expensive equipment to however many commanders you have (all for a single price). If you're short on cash, you can probably argue for a Crystal Ball with Message in it for under 50k (it is, after all, a cantrip that by default can work through a Scrying spell, unlike the Telepathy and Detect Thoughts that are installed in many Crystal Balls).

A Wand of Scrying would cost 21k. A caster level 20 Wand of Message would cost 7 k. Same effect, 50 times, for 28k.

And you can lose valuable scrolls very easily with yours.

Well, I wanted something that could specifically give the ability to transport higher level scrolls (and other important documents) across the world. I've reduced the price and removed the penalty. Let me know what you think of the revised version.

In such a case, the item being transported simply stays in the originating case. The attempt still uses one of the charges for the cases, but as long as charges remain, the sender can attempt to send the scroll again.

The cases can be used a combined total of 6 times per day.

Moderate Conjuration (teleportation); CL 13th; Craft Wondrous Item, teleport object; Price 25,000 gp.

Waaaay overpriced. Essentially, it's also a poor man's Ring Gates - and a pair costs 40k, allows transport of small characters, and almost limitless transport of scrolls (due to their neglegible weight) - plus the fact, that your scroll cases only allow use 3/day. Basing it off the Ring Gates (which are for scrolls unlimited) and then change to 3/day gives about 24,000 gp. Then add the considerably lower capacity/maximum volume, plus the risk of shunting stuff to the astral, I would price the Teleporting scroll case at 18,000 gp - at a max.

The new variant looks fine, considering what I've said above.
