Tell me about halflings in your world.

The halflings are known as Folnara. They are the bottom feeders of the world. There is little that a Folnara won't eat. These people do not so much explore the world, so much as meander about it. They have a centralized government of a sort, in the sense that they have a homeland. But few travel to it, except to trade. The Folnara seem a poor people economically. They are often found in the slums of other races civilizations. People pay them no mind.

The Folnara, being a small people, are easy to ignore. They will perform odd jobs, working in fisheries and other disgusting careers. The smell doesn't seem to bother them, and they can eat the scraps.

my halflings are similar to jerichothebard's and tumber's. my world is primarily oceanic, and halflings are the sea-faring traders and nomads of the world. nearly all merchant (naval) vessels are halfling-run and sized. they consider dry land to be unnatural ("how can you live with everything not moving beneath your feet?"). this leads to most halfling adventurers being considered "a bit off," as in, "he doesn't get land-sick and actually enjoys dirt underfoot."

additionally, it's interesting to see how some DMs have removed some "core races" altogether. never wanted to do that, but now. . . it definitely adds to the originality of one's world.
