Hanging in there. Better than the alternative.
UT's a good school. Houston has a couple of good business schools too, but UT's is certainly one of the top. Thanks all for the advice.
1) Texas, I was already looking at UT of Austin McCombs School of Business - both MBA and Management Information Systems.
I do like red meat; just kidding. I am sure I can find whatever food I want there. How's the gaming crowd in Texas?
Ari Marmell lives in Austin, though that's not very indicative of the gaming scene there. There are a couple good gaming stores in Austin, I've heard, but I would guess they're driven by the colleges. Houston has a bigger gaming scene, of course, as well as bigger cons.
To add to Dannyalcatraz's Texas info, Houston's pretty great too.

Dallas is known to be more of a tech city, but I've seen data to the contrary. Then again, IT doesn't necessarily mean you want to work for a tech company.
For the record, I've spent significant time in Dallas, Austin, and Houston. Austin has the best BBQ and local/organic food scenes, Houston has the best everything-else food. I can certainly recommend good eats in both cities.
