Yellow Submarine in Shinjuku in Tokyo had several boxes full of old games going for 200-300 yen each. I bought some obscure stuff from those boxes that I probably wouldn't have bought otherwise. You can get FFG's Dragonstar Books bundled together for about $40 (I got one at Phanton of the Attick in Pittsburght but they also seem to sell those online the last time I looked). Perhaps the best sall was the going-out-of-business sales at the WotC games stores. I got copies of Forgotten Realms, Dragonlance, Menace Manual. Magic of Faerun, Oriental Adventures, and a handful of other D&D books at 80% to 90% off cover price in the last few days that their Bridgewater, NJ store was open.
(EDIT: I bought about half of those books on sale that I wouldn't have bought otherwise, though I would have bought Forgotten Realms, Oriental Adventures, and a few others even at full price at some point. I also forgot the recent $5 a book online sales. Again, I might have bought some for full price but not all of them.)
