Tell me that D&D 3.0/3.5 isn't really like this

Well, when the thread's down to people trying to show how smart they are by correcting spelling and arguing over meaningless details, I think it's time for me to bow out. Bye.

There is nothing that seems to indicate that is true, just like there is nothing that indicates the opposite. We have no data on this.

But as a DM, if we don't have the right rule in a matter of instants, I come up with something on the fly and we move on. If, later on, it turns out I was wrong, we'll do it right from then on, but otherwise, who cares?


Yep- exactly how we do it.
 

I agree with the prevailing wind - it seems that this is degenerating into a rules-light vs. rules-heavy bickering with no end in sight. Before someone says something they'll regret...
