Copy/paste from what I've put in the WotC thread:

I like it, but please, please, please -- for the sample NPC, do not reprint race and class abilities that come from the book the PrC is in, or from one of the core books.

So, if, for example, there's a bouldersmaher PrC in an upcoming book whose sample character is a goliath scout/bouldersmasher, then I'm fine with reprinting the needed goliath and scout stuff, but bouldersmasher abilities are just on the previous page, do not reprint them!

If, instead of a goliath scout, it's a dwarven ranger, then do not reprint any race or class abilities -- they're in the core rules, which we are supposed to own already. Save space!

And with the saved space, put an index at the end of the book. Thanks. :D

I've not actually seen it in action, but it sounds good in principle.

And 100% agreed with Gez on indices. I think my textbooks spoil me. ;)

I'm not all that fond of the new, expanded format.

Adding all of the neat organizational fluff, knowledge tables, sample members, etc., really just does not make it any better for me, the player. If a class is cool, it's cool; if it's not, it just isn't, regardless of anything you add to the description.

I can stand some increased description, but for the love of all that's holy, please, please, no more sample characters.

Brad
