[sblock=Background]Nico (pronounced NEE-koh) Stormsong was born into the good life. His parents were quite successful noble merchants in Waterdeep. Nico took every advantage that could be gained from the position. In the City of Splendors, there is much to be gained.
From an early age, the inquisitive Nico sought use the talents and fortune that were given to him. His parents lavished him with the education that he wanted even as a child. He had private tutors teaching him history, several languages, and music. Unlike other children that spent their free time playing, Nico slaved over his studies and music. He also spent a great deal of time in the company of his parents and their peers. By watching how his parents so deftly manipulated others, young Nico was learning how to “win friends and influence people” on his own.
It did not take Nico’s parents very long to realize that their son was very talented. Even before his teens Nico began studying at Olamn, but when he was 15 one of his instructors suggested that Nico move to Silverymoon to study at the even more prestigious Foclucan. There he was truly challenged and inspired for the first time. It was also during his schooling there that he was hit with the need to go on his own and see what the world had to offer. So began Nico’s adventuring career.
Nico had been trained by some of the best in the business, but only truly adventuring can bring out the real talent of a bard. Through connections at Foclucan, Nico easily met others longer in the adventuring business that would take him under their wing. Given the danger inherent in the Silver Marches, adventure was also not hard to find. From there his tale has been one of successive fruitful adventures with narrow escapes, good treasure, and always a bit of tomfoolery.
Recently Nico decided to return to the City of Splendors. He has no desire to settle down yet, but he knows there is adventure in Waterdeep to rival or better anything he’s yet seen. Now that he has made it on his own, he has no fear riding on the coattails of his parents.[/sblock]
[sblock=Personality]Nico is a kind and carefree performer. He lives for the chance to shine at all the things he does and is never content to sit on the sidelines. But his need for center stage combined with his less-than-stellar amount of sense sometimes leads him into trouble. However, that is usually precisely where he wants to be. No better way to make a show![/sblock]
[sblock=Appearance]Given his hat of disguise and general aptitude with that skill, Nico’s appearance can vary greatly to suit whatever role he is trying to play at any time. However, he always wears his glamored armor and the rest of his adventuring equipment. Fond of black and dark blue, those are the colors of his attire from vest to shirt (glamored armor, of course) cloak and trousers. Even his haversack is black. Nico has a devilishly handsome rogue-like appearance with tousled hair and a couple days stubble on his face.[/sblock]
