Okay folks, news time! Other Realms has agreed to do vendoring for us. So not only will TerpCon V have vendors, but a great gaming store gets business! It's win-win. Except for those of you who need that money. But then again, why would you go to a convention if not to buy things and play games? Speaking of games, don't forget to register your games.

The Universe- I'd love to edit the title of this thread, but I either can't or can't figure out how (it amounts to the same thing in the end).

Treebore- No, it's in College Park. Yet another reason I'd like to edit the title.

Hi Terpcon folks,

(this is a copy of an email I just sent to Daniel re: Terpcon)

I’m a student at UMD (Junior, Sociology major) and if it’s not too late I’d like to throw my hat in to DM a few sessions at TerpCon. I intend to run at least two faction adventures from Xen’drik Expeditions for the Blackwheel Company: BWC1 – Principal of the Matter, and a Blackwheel Company DM’s Mark 2 of my own design. These adventures are designed for PCs of levels 1-3. I am a registered RPGA DM and I can also provide RPGA cards for players who would like to become members “at the table.”

I just registered a username on Warhorn and announced my intentions to run games at Terpcon with my registration. What is the next step? Is there anything else I need to do aside from prepare my games and show up at the ‘con ready to run?

It would be nice to meet some of the Terp gamers on campus, too. I eat lunch at the Food Coop down in the Stamp basement Mon – Thurs every week. Maybe you’d like to share lunch sometime?

Best regards,
Nick

Nope, that's about it. Your game is up on the schedule, and once player signups go live you'll be able to see who's playing.

Have you managed to play (or run) a Xen'drik game in the area before? We had a fairly active group doing Mark of Heroes last year up until the TerpCon Spring 2006 when I kind of swore the campaign off (long story, but the mods I played at Winter Fantasy still haven't been reported correctly). Most of the people that played in that group have either moved away or moved on, though. Depending on how scheduling works out (I'm still in talks with KenzerCo about doing a Hackmaster demo) I'd definitly like to hit your game up once player signups are active.

Game in the 2nd slot

I've just sent off my email for TerpCon as well. A copy is mostly posted below. If there's anything else I need to do, please inform me.

"I'd like to run a first edition (1E) Advanced Dungeons and Dragons game using the module "Moonless Night" by Lorne Marshall. I'll take up to 8 players and will not be using pregenerated characters. Characters will be 1st level, and are fairly easy to construct in 1E AD&D. Players should bring dice; manuals will be provided.

A synopsis follows:

"The name of Usok One-Fang, Goblin King, is still feared, used as a bogeyman that embodies greed and wanton cruelty. His defeat outside the town of Goewin's Tuath by Sir Derrick of Ander's Fen secured the border and ended the Goblin War. Twenty years have passed and the goblins grow restive again. The map to the 'lost' caravan of silver leads straight into the mountains outside Goewin's Tuath. Do you have the mettle to recover it?""
