D&D 5E Test of High Level 5E: Design 4 or 5 lvl 13 PCs for 6 to 8 encounter adventuring day

Okay, good. I'll go with the move I originally declared: Bedrock will use Lay on Hands to heal himself 25 points up to 79hp, with 40 points of LoH remaining. Then he'll shrug off the giant's "forgivable moment of rudeness" and move 30ft towards the cave mouth, walking calmly between two of the wolves, looking confident and acting like a top dog. He's hoping to get away with not being attacked, of course.

In order for you to heal the damage with lay on hands as youraction you will need a free hand. Doesnt Bedrock have a sword and shield in hand? You can sheathe your weapon with a free object interaction if you want to proceed with this action.

You also still have your bonus action remaining also if you wanted to do anything with it?

The wolf to the north is charmed at present so it cant do anything, and you can avoid the wolf to the west (the wounded one) by not entering its reach, but the Frost giant will make an attack of opportunity if you continue your movement out of his threatened area.

Do you wish to proceed with your movement?

Why are you moving towards the cave entrance? Kill the giant. And use your bonus action effectively.
How else are we going to get out of the cave? We can't fly through the roof!

Why kill the giant, if we don't have to? Okay, he was rude enough to hit me, but that's understandable under the circumstances. It is his cave, after all, and we arrived without asking his permission.

What bonus action?

The one you could cast a bonus action spell with.

Hopefully, Flamestrike doesn't get too pissed. We don't have the movement to outrun the giants. Their rock tossing ability will destroy us before we likely obtain cover. We have to kill them. Their 40 foot movement will allow them to keep up with us and hit us with ranged damage. The wolves are fast and can pull us to the ground. If anyone gets chased, hit, and brought down, they'll be massacred. Then we're down a member. So fight or we die running or at least one or two of us likely.

Shield of Faith is a bonus action spell. Cast it while doing LoH. Boost your AC to 23 for a 1st level slot. Don't bother smiting to preserve resources. Just hammer away against the giant. Hope you don't get it. Let us take care of the active wolves.

Yes, good point. I sheathe my sword before doing the LoH. This actually helps with the looking-non-threatening ruse.

Yes, I'll risk the AO from the giant. He might miss and I can take the damage if he hits.

Am I being remiss? I don't understand where the bonus action comes from?
Oh, that one. It only makes a few points of AC difference.

Boy, I was hoping you would be lenient, when I noticed he drew his blade. He doesn't have Warcaster either. I usually get warcaster to cast while fighting and give advantage on concentration saves.

C'mon, Bold. Manipulate object to sheathe your weapon, LoH, and then bonus action shield of faith. Draw weapon and engage next round. Keep that giant's attention.

I have to admit it is fun to try to pull something hard off in less than optimal circumstances. If we manage to pull this off, I will be quite amused.

Let's see what happens with the giant's AO.

I'm not going to attempt to outrun the monsters, and I'm not going to fight them to the death. I'm going to outsmart them. Are you with me or no?

It's an almost 10% boost to your AC for a 1st lvl slot and a bonus action. The giants rolled well and still didn't beat a 23 by but a few points.

Jubali can't believe what she's seeing as she watches Bedrock unnecessarily open himself up to attack. She literally can't believe it. What is this moron doing?

Edward hasn't said or done anything yet, it's Bedrock who's just acted. But Edward understands. They're old buddies.

Bedrock announced his intentions before Jubali wandered off in the opposite direction and did her own thing. That's okay. Perhaps she didn't know that paladins are oathbound to keep their word. Bedrock forgives Jubali for ignoring him.
