Don't know about the Buffy thing, usually people picked it up from it's use in the movie Aliens, then of course the sound clip of the transport in the computer game Starcraft(which of course was most likely inspired by the movie).

This of course, assumes that you don't have a radio geek for a father and picked it up him (hehe).

5x5

I think 5x5 entered my lingo the first time I saw Aliens.

The scene was when the dropship was entering the atmosphere over the planet at the pilot (Ferro) says:

"We're in the pipe, 5-by-5."

I had that as my Windows start-up sound for a while.

And. like Ashtal, it entered my vocabulary when I was watching the third season of Buffy.

I have so many friends who would agree, but I am a fan. The first 3 seasons had some of the best writing out there for TV. Season 4 was still solid, as for 5 and 6.... well, I still watch.

Of course I have a thing for unattainable red heads..
