OOC: Well, we only have a few days to get this done, so Luthiel isn't about to waste any more time.

Garrit says, "I'm with Luthiel," and readies to follow him.

"As much as I'd like to get this over with, I'm not much use when I can't see, and using torches or lanterns will do nothing more than make us easier targets. I'm going to take our collection here back to our camp and start thinking about what to do in the morning." With that, Devlin starts packing up the gear from the goblin camp in preparation of returning to the party's camp.

"Well, I think that you, Cryndo, and Jasper are the ones who do not do as well in the dark, so perhaps you should head back and set up camp while the rest of us scout for tomorrow." Luthiel begins preparing his gear and weapons for another foray into the forest.

Devlin nods assent to Luthiel's proposal and gathers up an armful of goblinoid gear. Without another word, he heads off to their campsite back in the main clearing.

"It's not like this plan's got any better than it was this afternoon," Malen mumbles, "but if we're going to do this we might as well get on with it."

He shifts his burdens impatiently, "So where do we start?"

"Hey, we haven't died yet, have we?" asks Luthiel with a lopsided smile.
He turns and scans the clearing, looking for any continuation of the path they followed to get there.

Luthiel's quick scan of the clearing reveals little: there are dozens of trails, some more obvious than others, but none of the well-traveled, obvious-way-to-go sort. If he is extremely picky and discriminatory, Luthiel can pick out four fairly decent paths, roughly one at each of the cardinal directions, the one the group has already traveled being the south-ish one.
