Thank Goodness for the Ignore Feature!!! (Spam-Killer)

As our front page got covered in spam this morning, I was so thankful to be able to just click on the sender, hit "ignore" and watch all of it go away. I am posting this to let newer members know they can do that; I didn't for over a year, and I was so happy when someone told me.

It's rarely if ever the same spammer blasting the site more than once, as far as I've been able to tell, so ignoring them won't help next time.

I just report it (spam being the only type of post I'll ever report) and it's always gone by the next time I visit the site.

I’m probably missing out on some good discussion, but adding some people onto my ignore list has improved everyone’s experiences here as I no longer engage with people whom I have diametrically opposed viewpoints that always degenerate into pointless squabbles. Not looking for an echo chamber, just a more pleasant experience.

I’m simply incompatible with some personalities and vice versa. Thank goodness for 2-way ignore.
