Thank You WOTC for continuing the Dungeons and Dragons legacy

I dont usually post to Enworld because i enjoy reading the comments and reviews. I have no interest in starting a flame war with anyone. Recently I have heard a lot of complaining about what Wotc has changed or some other irrelevant complaints about the inability of acquiring the new set of books.

The bottom line is that Dungeons and Dragons continues to thrive and live due to its fans both here at Enworld and elsewhere. It is the granddaddy of all role playing games. I have played every version since i was 12 years old in 1983. I havent received my books from amazon either. if you dont like the new rules, change them to your style of play. As for me I love the game and hope that I can play Dungeons and Dragons with my great grandchildren when I am 80. Heres to another 30+ years. Thank you Wotc for carrying the banner of Dungeons and Dragons.

Thanks WoTC, you may not hold a candle in creativity, imagination and commitment to depth and detail as the artists of TSR did, but at least you brought the game back from the brink of debt/death and turned it into a respectable industry many sizes over.

i mourn for the creativity of the old days, where books were not just excuses for holding classes, feats, items, spells and blocks of stats.
but i understand that all of this is necessary to keep the game alive.
I just make do with my own creativity, which is not near as vivid as the ones from planescape, old days forgotten, dragonlance, ravelonft and such... but at least i still get to play d&d.

for this i thank WoTC

I miss the old days of TSR myself (read thru some 80's comics today, and seeing the ads made me nostalgic), but those days are long gone, bro. Being snarky won't bring them back.

Thanks to everyone for their kind words and support.

I wanted to say thank you. I am looking forward to trying out the new edition. Long live the realms of Dungeons and Dragons so that it will continue to live both in our hearts and on various game tables worldwide.

It hurts... so much...

:D

Well, for me, the trial is out. I'm still a bit miffed about *not* having the full magazines for almost a year and not having them in print. I really wish, they'd let Paizo keep the license until the 4E roll-out... but well, what happened has happened, and now they can make up for that and do it right.

And I hope for the best - they had a pretty good start! :)

Cheers, LT.
