What is a thank? How does it work exactly?

I think (and one of the admin-types can correct me if I am wrong) it is akin to a "like" system, but doesn't add to the user's reputation score.

Makes sense. Seems a bit weird to have two of those.

Thanks do not seem to have a limit to how many I can give to the same person.

I'm not sure how the thanks per post ratio is counted. I'm at 2k+ post and it says 0 for me.

Hmm. It's actually just a side effect of the upgrade. I didn't realise it added a thanks feature. I'll probably look into turning that off when I get home tomorrow.
