Thanks

I wanted to post and say thanks for, well, a lot of things.

Thanks to everyone that voted in the ENnies. Sue and I (and Bruce) were bowled over by our awards, and feel very honored. The ceremony itself was not only very professional and classy, but a lot of fun.

A special thanks to everyone at GenCon and came up to introduce themselves, shake my hand, take a picture, or get a book signed (for those that asked, actually my hand got pretty cramped up by Sunday, but it's recovering nicely).

Thanks to everyone who came by the booth to pick up a copy of Arcana Unearthed. It was one of the best (if not the best) selling White Wolf products at GenCon ever, I'm told. We sold out on Thursday around 1:30, got more than the initial ship in on Friday, and then sold out of that on Sunday morning. Thanks to all of you who stood in the long line at the booth on Thursday morning, and the shorter line on Friday morning. I apologize if anyone stopped by to get one at one of the times we were out. I hope you'll be able to get one at your local game store.

It was really nice to meet ENWorld posters face to face, like Teflon Billy, alsih2o, Psion, Crothian, Henry, Maldur, War Golem, Ashy, Storminator, JGBrowning, Steve Creech, and lots of others, and see folks I'd met before like Eric, Piratecat, Hellhound (and family) and of course Morrus (who I hardly got to see, actually).

Lastly, I guess I'd like to give a shout out to James, Jason, Todd, Mike and Scott of Fiery Dragon, Paladin and his wife (of Gamer's Bag fame--the best gaming bags around), Mike Mearls, Hal and Doug of Mystic Eye, everyone at Sword and Sorcery, Rob Lee, Ed Bourelle, Jeff Ibach, Erik Mona, Stefan at Dwarven Forge, everyone at the ENWorld Gathering at O'Rourkes (sorry we couldn't stay longer), the Codemonkeys, everyone at IronWind Metals, Carrie Reynolds (the absent Sean's sister), Stan! and the Game Mechanics, Bruce Cordell (who I finally got to actually spend some time with at a GenCon for once), Jeff Quick, Shaun and Miranda Horner, and all the other great people I got to meet and hang out with.

What a great GenCon.

Have you seen any pictures of how wide your smile was at the S&S booth? :)

It was a pleasure to meet you, Monte. I'm glad to hear that the rollout of AU went so well. I'm still reading my copy, soaking in pieces and parts, and one of these days hope to actually play a game of it (once my current two campaigns are done.)

AU was my first purchase on Thurs.

i was like 5th or 6th in line. i bought 3 copies. 2 for random guys wanting the book before it sold out.;)

Thank you for signing my copy of AU on Saturday - especially since I grabbed you as you and Bruce were on your way somewhere. I had less than a half-hour before I had to run to my plane, so I really appreciated the courtesy. :)

I was able to read more closely on the plane ride home, and it definitely will get some use!

No Monte, Thank you! Your presence adds class to our crazy Canadian organization and it's a wondrous joy to be a part of the "AU family".

Or, as they say in Brazil, "You may wear gophers on your feet, but you dance as if they were dolphins!"

Sorry to Claudio for the unending mocking of his culture. It's all done out of love, baby! :)

Well, I am a native here, speaking directly from here ad have never heard that... anyway, Brazil is a LOT big and very different in its regions, also the translation may misguide me...

I hope to become an AU member sometime soon, too, but dollar is to high, it costs me about 3 times the price for a reading book edited here...

Anyway, I will try and buy from internet...

It's just my translation

No problem with the translation, Ran, just being silly.

I've learned that the people of Brazil are very poetic, and will never say anything simply when an elaborate metaphor or simile can be used instead.

By the way, Monte, I ... um ... hmm ... yeah! that's it! ... left my copy of AU at ... uh ... the table! yeah! the table! So, if, you know, there's like one laying around, it's, well, you know, mine.

Mind mailing it to me?

:D
