That Balor mini is gorgeous! What's your favourite?

A buddy just gave me a pack of Underdark for my birthday. The Balor is far and away the nicest D&D mini I've seen to date!

The Balor is really nice, but the best miniature I've seen in the set so far--and only because there's tons of fiery, winged demon minis out there--is the roper.

The roper is really cool. Some of them are nice, but I've just got too many to appreciate -- I don't need 4 feral minotaurs, or 3 weretigers!
More Bugbear Footpads would be nifty, though.

The Nentyar Ranger, Whirling Steel Monk, Cleric of Garl Glittergold, and Man-At-Arms are probably my favorite PC minis. Really nice action poses.

i offloaded 138 Commons and Uncommons on JoeBlank this past week for his boys.

I've been impressed with the quality of underdark.

The royal guards for example, are heads and shoulders above the 'common' soldiers we've seen in the past.

As is the mercenary captain.

as if the marshal in plate, even though it's a dwarf.

But favorite from this set? Hard to say. I enjoy the roper, aspect of kord and some of the epics like Elminster and Artemis, but I'd really like to see how the Iron Golem is before commenting on which is the 'best'.

I've found most of the miniatures this time around a good deal more... useful to my D&D game then previous sets.

Do yuo ever having anything positive to say? You are a very negative person.

Underdark and Angelfire are my two favourites sets so far. So many excellent quality miniatures with amazing paint jobs. The Efreeti is probably my favourite miniature of the entire line followed closely by the Orc Druid from Dargoneye.

From this set? It's hard to say, I haven't bought any more boosters other than the two I received at the Prerelease tournament (damn mortgage & holiday expenses!), but I do like the Half-Fiend Ogre quite a lot. My favorite figure overall is the Bladebearer Hobgoblin. Sooo beautiful! A fiercely radiant and glorious example of goblinoid superiority!

(Also, the Dolgaunt Monk isn't nearly as bad as it looks on WotC's website. I'm always looking to give a good home to Dolgaunts that no one wants!)
