The 3rd Kryptonian? Possible Spoliers

In the Superman books it was revelaed some time ago that there is a mysterious third Kryptonian on Earth, and this is not:
a)Power Girl - being from a different diminsion she doesn't count
b) Krypto - not on earth when the decleration was made
nor
c) Chris Kent - the "foster" son of Lois and Clark who is really the child of Zod concieved in some kind of strange material space within the Phantom Zone.

Reports have hinted that the new character would be "familiar to long time Superman fans" but no more than that. We learned most recently that the character is a (young) woman.

I have a vast and almost encylopedic knowledge of Superman and his various depicitons but I can't guess at who this 3rd Kryptonian might be.

Any thoughts?

According to http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/newsitem.cgi?id=12086:

At the end of this week's “Superman” #688 a mailbox is shown with the name “K. Wells,” a name some well-read Superman fans probably haven't thought of since 1985's “Crisis on Infinite Earths.”

“People who have read it will know at the end of the story that the third Kryptonian is somebody named K. Wells and that's a reference to Kristin Wells, who was the pre-Crisis Superwoman,” Busiek told CBR News. “But the pre-Crisis Superwoman wasn't Kryptonian. She was a descendant of Jimmy Olsen from the future, who time-traveled and had a suit that gave her special powers. So this isn't the same character. We are just re-using a name from the past as a nod.”

Doh! I should have caught the Kristen Wells refrence. Although I hope they don't make her "Superwoman".

If she's a Kryptonian, whatever they call her, she's "Superwoman". That's the problem with those Kryptonians - they're all the same...

Wow... racial profiling at it's best. lol Too bad DC do anything about it considering that they wrote Krytonians into a "must have superpowers on earth" corner.
