Morgoth Bauglir, Great Claw Of Tiamat, Heir of Tchazzar, newly proclaimed Emperor Of Chessenta und Unther,

Mulhorand is not a threat to us. However, were you to seize Mulhorand and unite the three kingdoms, we would see you as a threat and we would act accordingly.

Tread carefully.

Strange, Tiamat in FRCS is descibed as Lawful, but I am not an Expert... And Entropy isn`t a Chaotic Concept to me. Shar personifies Entropy in Faerun and she isn`t Chaotic.

I have no desire to become a threat to Phoenix Alliance, which
i greatly respect for their Arcane Might, Discipline, and general lack of weakness some call "goodness". Wise people, like you and I, follow only a path of ruthless efficiency, will you accept discussing a Trade Treaty between Empire Of The Dragon Queen and Phoenix Alliance? I also plan to open a great Arcane Academy in Cimbar, where all people with magical potential will be sent, I would gladly welcome teachers of Shadow Weave and Necromantic Arts there, I am in for cooperation, it is only the matter of time until those pesky Chosen nad their allies move against us.

Edena earlier you stated that Bugbear and I, would share the Dauntless, I feel that i have worked hard with them, and yet, I still get skipped over, if you could correct that unles you wish Bugbear to run the Dauntless, then that is your choice... just seems kind of strange that I put so much work into helping them... and yet I get nothing...

Misha will assist in protecting the boundaries of the Dauntless, quite upset with the mess, the people are making and will denounce anyone who has made attacks against the Dauintless, continues to create Domination Books, or attacks their allies of the Silver Cabal... he will not send Gustav any of their weapon designs, and will instead begin importing th advanced rifle designs from 1885 Earth to Toril, in the war against Athas and other forces... the Enlightened Gnomes will of course be charged with creating these objects once they reverse engineer them...

Misha will work wih the othr Dauntless leader, to protect their lands from incursion...

My books... stopped. The plague... killing. My sponsors, no longer.

Raynar looks unhappy with the happenings of late, and sits down in his thinking chair.

What to do. Consult the Dwarves of the Rift? I might be able to get them to listen to me. Their caves might protect them from the plague for quite some time. Yes. I will do just that.

[Raynar is a Dwarf himself. He's a high level Wizard/Cleric. Character will be completed later on.]

He contacts the Dwarves of the Great Rift, the sponsors of his books. He asks for their assistance, if they help him, he will try and find a cure against this plague. If they assist him, he will lead them to survival. Their caves might protect them for now, but they might not withstand forever. Raynar explains this to the dwarves, and other dwarves under the banner of the Adamant. He will aid the dwarves, if they aid them now. The sooner he can start working on a cure, the sooner they can defeat the plague.

The news that arrives from the Correspondents shock Krysophrenos to the bone. He was going to Tell the Encyclopaedists their exile was finished, that the Counterspell was found, that they were free again, instead he had to tell them to remain in the strictest isolation, because a Plague had been released on their beloved world, and that the only cure that seemed possible was the total eradication of magic.

"There has to be an alternative" he thought as he flew high in the night, the moon rays shining upon his golden scales.
"The humans can survive, but what will happen to the other races? What about the Elves, the Dragons, the Faeries? What about the Sharn?"
He landed in a forest, continuing to force his old mindon the question, then a thought came to his mind, observing the night life in the woods.
"We have to change. We have to evolve to prevent extinction. If we could create a new kind of magic, an untainted energy to rely upon, we could survive."
Immediately he took fly again returning to his lair and started to write letters to the people he knew he could trust.
"Dear friends, this plague is threatening the very survival of our kind. there is maybe an alternative though it will probably lie on a road of suffering and difficulties. I think the solution consist in two words: Exile and Evolution. Exile because the magical energies that give us life are being tainted, and we remain on Toril, we'll face our deaths, or worse. Evolution, becuse if we are to return one day to the world that's our home, we'll have to create a new, incorrupted magic to sustain us. I know this may sound absurd, but we share our knowledge and our resources, who could say what is impossible? I urge you to suspend every use of magic you can and to gather, to find a way to leave Toril without letting the Red Death following us, to face our destiny in a new world. I hope this won't last much, but who could say for certain? I'll begin tonight a massive research through all the resources of the Encyclopaedia to find even the smallest reference to a place that could accept us, and possibly give us help on our mission. I wish you well, and I hope you'll join me on this adventure."

This letter is sent to the Metallic and Gem Dragons loyal to the Dauntless, to the Faeries he can locate, to the Sharn he has spoken to, to Queen Amlaruil in Evermeet, to the Enlightened Gnomes, to Arkanyl, to the Celestials summoned on Faerun and to all the good magical beings he knew over his the centuries. then he begins his research.

All four the Editions of the Gazette come with detailed informations on how to deal with the smallpox, as well as invites and advice on how to reduce magic use to a minimum. That is all they can do to save as many lives as possible.
