The best modules from Necromancer Games

While I like almost everything Necromancer has put out, I have to go with Tomb of Abysthor. It's by far the best of the adventures they have put out. After that, I really like Vault of Larin Karr and Fane of the Witch King. But avoid the Maze series, it's really poorly done, unfortunatly.

I have just finished, as a player, Morrick Mansion and The Grey Ctiadel. Both were a lot of fun.

I have read and enjoyed Rappan Athuk, but it's a meat-grinder designed to kill characters. It might not be as much fun to play through.

I've also read Necropolis and I like it a lot. There might be some difficulty for all but the most completely thorough, anal-retentive players--or the DM may have to spoon feed a bit in parts.
I seem to recall that the party must have several items with them as they enter the final tomb; without them, they're in deep trouble but they won't know that until they get there. Ah, classic Gygax! :)

Vault of Larin Karr is another good one, as it's much in the same vein as Barakus. Tomb of Abysthor is also up there - a really good dungeon-crawl.

My votes are for Tomb of Abysthor, Vault of Larin Karr, Crucible of Freya, Grey Citadel. I am hoping Chaos Rising joins the list as well, since I just ordered it.

Mark up another vote for The Vault of Larin Karr. That's a nice module, with good variety. Tomb of Abysthor is a very good dungeon, as some have already said. And Lost City of Barakus would have to go high on the list as well.

I'm yet to finish reading Grey Citadel and City State of the Invincible Overlord to comment on them as products. Not sure that the latter really fits into the niche of 'module', even.

Ancient Kingdoms: Mesopotamia is really good, IMHO. A non-linear sword and sorcery D&D module in the spirit of Howard and his contemporaries. What's not to love?

Another vote for Caverns of Thracia. I ran over 150 PCs through that one over the years. The updated and expanded 3.5 version seems like it will be at least as much fun as the old one.
