The 350-page book, created by Bible enthusiasts, included four new lineages, a range of subclasses, and an adventure for character levels 1-10, along with a full first-century AD setting with locations like the Library of Alexandria and the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, NPCs, and monsters such as giants, seraph serpents, angels, and demons. The adventure itself involves a search for three missing Magi.

It's $25 for a PDF, or $39 for a hardcover.

Cleopatra is dead. Rome and Parthia struggle for control of the Fertile Crescent in a bid for world domination, while local politics in the Middle Kingdoms become increasingly divisive. The prophecies of the so-called “Messiah” have long been forgotten, and an ancient Evil lurks in the shadows, corrupting the hearts of humankind. Three of the wisest mystics known as the “Magi” travelled to Bethlehem following a star they believed to be a sign. They never returned. Hope grows dim as the world descends into darkness. What we need are answers... and those brave enough to seek them.

This isn’t the first biblical era setting for D&D, although it might be for 5E. Green Ronin released Testament: Roleplaying in the Biblical Era for 3E over a decade ago.

Legend
Adventure: The PCs are hired to infiltrate The Ten Commandments(movie version) Egypt to find the bastard son of a very important royal figure. The situation starts becoming complicated when the PCs are not techncially on good terms with Egypt.

Plot Twist: turns out the bastard son is actually a first-born of Egypt. Meaning they have to get the dodge outta there before the Angel of Death starts coming in and killing all the first-born children. And since this is Egypt after a number of the plagues, getting out is a bit easier said then done.

I agree, but we can't make assumptions that they tell us what people actually thought, felt, and believed in a particular time and place.
We know what the people who wrote stuff down wanted to write down. It's always hard knowing what the average working stiff thought about things, in any distant historical place and time. There's not even much of that stuff from medieval Europe, let alone the 1st century middle East

Yes, that is mostly what I am talking about. However, we can't even be sure what people wrote about themselves and what they observed. Most narrators are unreliable to some extent.

Each text of the Bible was written for specific purposes. Just because some topic is only briefly mentioned, it doesn’t follow that it was all they believed about that topic.

Well, the kickstarter wound up on this one. They unlocked all their stretch goals and got to somewhere around 1500% funded (though at only US$78k, it's still probably only a mid-tier project from a 5e kickstarter point of view)

We'll see what it turns out like. I'll do a let's read on here once my copy arrives if people are legit interested...

I always wonder, once a kickstarter has exceeded every stretch goal by a hefty amount, where does the extra money go to? Salaries?
