However, some of your comments (such as "limited scope" and the not playing D&D remark which is most often used as the last-resort tactic of those that are adament about magic levels and super heroics in D&D) reflects upon my own setting, which (while not the Black Company) has been designed and developed with many of these parameters in mind. Having had a great deal of success with the game in my old community, and now having received a couple a e-mails from folks living in my adopted community, I'd say I've done more than well by it.
Thus, I stand by my commitment to a development of a game that reflects the spirit of the Black Company in both environment and rules could be run with equal success.
