The Bounty Hunter Campaign

chat is fine with me but I thought I'd suggest Skype since it's supposed to be quite simple and allows for more immediate communication. I'd need to get a headset ($20) and an account (free)

Right now, I'm checking on setting up a Ventrilo server. I'll have more info later.

I'm undecided on what to play. Checking on that too.

Well, as the DM, I probably won't play anyone. As for the campaign, let's set it in Sigil and just see what happens. Vince and I talked and we really want to do the bounty hunters live.

If the bounty hunters is live, what'll the online game be? Just whatever it turns into?

9 people plus the organizer. So, 10.

or 25. I'm not sure but either of those should be enough.

OK. Someone sort out my confusion...

1) The online game starts Friday night. We're working on a way to communicate via voice. The campaign is starting in Sigil, but we're NOT playing Bounty Hunters, just normal dudes from Sigil (or in Sigil) and we'll figure it out from there?

2) The live game is now going to be bounty hunters and we need new characters for it??

3) If 2 is right, are Vince and Mark gonna switch off DMing and playing. If so, will they play the same PC when they're players? Cause I think that'd be a really neat experiment. =)

BTW - I'm going to play an Elan (Expanded Psionics Handbook) Wilder specializing in Astral Contructs for the online game. I'll play a Human (unless that's being overruled in which case I might take an ECL hit for something neater) Ranger/Rogue for the Bounty Hunter game.

Hey Mark!

I know you've got a bunch of planescape rules and such and aren't much for the rules anyways, but here's a great resource for 3.0/3.5 Planescape. They've done all the work for you. You might wanna check out some relevant parts before Friday...

3.0/3.5 PSCS | Planewalker

The various chapters are basically a 3.0/3.5 compatible conversion of the Planescape setting.

EDIT - Anyone else have a hankerin to play Planescape: Torment?

To answer several questions:

Yes, we start this Friday. We need to figure out how we are meeting, though.

Yes, the new online gang will be a wait and see campaign.

Yes, the Bounty Hunters will likely take the place of the Hamdin group.

Yes, I like the idea of Vince and I playing the same character. I will talk to him. It sounds inventive and fun. Good idea, Chris!!!

For the online campaign there are no restrictions. The way I see it, when you are starting in a city at the heart of eternity you get to play whatever you want!

Thanks for the new Planescape references. I will look through them. I have limited time this week, but I will do what I can.

I am looking forward to this. It should be fun!
