More clever than I though, are ya? mutters Alexander, then roars at the goblin who tried to trip him with the barrels: I'll get to you in a couple's'seconds,ya little sneaky bastard! and slashes again at the two goblins in front of him.

[sblock=OOC]For some reason I cannot log into enworld from home. Until I sort it out can you NPC Girth for me. I will try to post again from this machine in the next day or so with more detail about P's attack.
Sorry all! If anyone has any suggestions about why I get 'cannot connect' I would appreciate an email[/sblock]

OOC: I've had the same trouble as many others connecting to ENWorld over the last three days it seems. Sorry for the delay. Sounds like they've got the problem fixed now and we should be okay now it seems.

-Alex takes a swing at the Goblin warrior as it attacks Quagmire. He hits it but it remains standing. He swings again and bloodies the goblin warrior while catching the goblin cutter between him and Quagmire with the back swing, dropping it to the rolling deck of the goblin ship as well.

-Hrav tumbles away from W3 and attacks W2, hitting it for 5 damage.

-The goblin sharpshooters take aim with their hand crossbows, lining up shots at Alex from the stern and Hrav after the sniper from the forecastle moves to the middle of the ship. One bolt flies right by Alexander's head so close that he feels the passage of its fletching despite the storm around him. Hrav is not quite as lucky as the other sharpshooter manages to hit the bugbear for 8 damage. Hrav sees blood seeping out of the wound around the bolt that is buried in his shoulder.

-Quagmire and Girth can go... If Girth doesn't post in the next day or so, I'll NPC for him as he requested.

Quagmire times his step carefully, and just as the ship rocks into the trough of a wave, he steps aside, and suddenly the goblin finds himself surrounded, with Quagmire's steel driving home. "Yer lookin' a bit worried, there, Hrav. Don't sweat it, these chumps are just shark bait that hasn't found a shark, yet. You, you're the shark."

[sblock=actions]Shift to G7. Wolf pack tactics vs. W2; either Hrav shifting to G5 or Q shifting to F6, whichever is possible given the map conditions. The goal is to set up the flank. The attack, assuming Q manages to get CA, hits AC 17 for 13 damage. Finally, inspiring word on Hrav, heals surge+2
[/sblock]

OOC: Hrav will happily shift to set up the flank, as needed based on the terrain. He'll also happily spend a surge with Inspired Word.

Beaming manically at the immobilized goblin, Girth clicks his fingers to activate another attack. Needless to say this fails as badly as most of his other attempts. 'twould appear that his patroness either had a soft spot for goblins or else Girth had badly offended her in some way.

[sblock=OOC]I won't bother posting a link to yet another natural 1! Overall my various characters have rolled more 1s than you could imagine, and I don't think, in several months, that I have ever rolled a 20![/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]someone on the L4W thread was asking about the possibility of introducing pcs in an ongoing adventure... maybe we should consider that? Even if Halford comes back, I don't think six would be too much, what do you think phoenix?
It should be a monster race pc, though, so we can still be the MostlyMonstuousCrew :D[/sblock]

[sblock=Adding a member]I wouldn't mind adding a member. It's up to Phoenix, of course, and if he thinks it can be done smoothly (and if we're not almost done with the adventure anyway).

As for candidates, renau1g's Murphy Tang is a warlock with a pirate background. Overlaps with Girth some, though. But I'm not picky, and wouldn't mind grabbing someone who hasn't been on adventure at all yet (Murphy was in the Ebon Mirror, and written out when renau1g was away for a few months).[/sblock]

-Quagmire times his attack just right and gets Hrav to move slightly to help distract the goblin warrior. That distraction just barely lets Quagmire's strike get through to finish off that goblin. It drops to the deck in a lifeless heap. His words help Hrav shake off his injuries (+7 healing surge +2 from inspiring word. Was at 13hp +9 =22 hp now for Hrav).

-Girth tries to attack the immobilized goblin once more, but still without success. The goblin then breaks free of the immobilization.

-The goblin warriors attack. One misses Hrav, another misses Quagmire badly, but the last one leaps over to the Bloody Wake and manages to hit Girth (not that anyone else can see this as it is concealed by the raging storm around you). Girth takes 3 damage from a weak spear thrust as the goblin shouts curses at him.

-Alex and Hrav can go...
