The Class Compendium articles are great!

The texts have different purposes. The one before the power box tells you about the power's origin or some other background material. The one inside the box tells you what using the power looks like.

At least, that's how I plan them.

1) Even so, there's no reason they couldn't have been combined into one block and made less verbose.

2) I just did a very cursory examination of the e-powers, and saw many instances of "this is what it looks like" followed by "this is what it looks like" in slightly different terms.

I wonder what the OP thinks about the Class Compendium articles now after the blast job done on the Cleric.

I still think the Class Compendium stuff is great. I'll try to explain why. I'm not much of a guru on character optimization stuff. I do know that the developers are better at analyzing crunch than me.

Now for folks who do pay attention to the balance of classes I certainly understand why changes to the Templar are annoying.

I go into a game expecting that not all classes are created equal, not all monsters are created equal, and that errata can shift the balance of power in one direction or the other in other to create some level of balance.

In terms of nerf-bats and that stuff, it really doesn't concern me much. I read enough to keep up with which classes that are strong or weak from all the fine folks on these boards.

So when I'm up for an extra bit of challenge, I'll consider a Templar. I'm just glad the option is there to start with.
