The Closed Eye (DM: Halford, Judge: garyh)

OOC: Doggonit! I should have waited for your response, because that would have been hellaciously funny to shove her at the blurry things. Oh, well. I'll save it for the next round.

The creatures move as one to flank Woe and both swing their massive morningstars. Flanked as he is Woe is unable to avoid either blow, the first sends him crashing to the floor leaving him prone and dazed, the second thunders home into his shoulder leaving him bloodied and in bad shape.

Adie appears to be looking to Palindrome and mirroring his expressions, otherwise she seems unconcerned.

OOC: Woes takes 24 points of damage and is dazed and prone.

Phew! Thank God they attacked Woe first.

Uh...

I mean, "Somebody help Woe!"

----

Is this one of those combats where we're supposed to get our butts handed to us?

+7 to hit, +6 to damage... These creatures have to be fourth or fifth level!

----

SPEND THOSE HERO POINTS, FELLAS!

[insert hysterical screams here]

OOC: I tend to enjoy throwing fairly tough stuff at my PCs, though this was the Graf ordained set up - actually the lowest level I could get it using MM creatures. I don't feel too bad about it though since it should be fairly clear it is the only encounter of the day, bust out those dailies, etc.

Ooc:

Crap!

I should have spent my hero point on Acid Arrow! Now I can't use it, because I'll nix my buddies.

I tell ya, boys: If we survive this one, I'm gonna memorize Sleep. Even if it would have missed, it would have slowed the blurry things. Then, they couldn't have surrounded Woe.

[sblock=Judge Rule Comment]Standing from prone is actually a MOVE action (PHB 292, "Stand Up." I think you might have gotten dropping to prone (which is a minor action, PHB 277) confused.[/sblock]

OOC: Wow, everyone I know has been playing it as a minor, now I have to conclude you are correct Garyh - looks like it provokes to. Wow prone just got a lot nastier.
