Surrender and call off your ***** dog, or I swear to the gods that I am going to put a magic missile right into your lady's head. And when I'm done with that, I'll cut her corpse up into little pieces and feed them to you. You've seen the **** I'm carrying. You want that to happen to her? Give up now, and I promise you'll be treated well and no further harm will come to either of you."

Realizing what a personal tragedy her fall is to Arnest, the merc lends weight to this attempt at killing two birds with one stone.
“You heard the trigger-happy mage, Barn-fest! Call the hound to back off right now, or Tsasha learns to breathe through her forehead!”

We might still be able to stop him, but Tander & Atreus need backup. I'm leaning heavily towards giving up the chase and rush back to help, but wanted to hear what you guys think first.[/sblock]
EDIT: Wow, talk about hivemind! I'll edit a few words so Woe supports Palindrome's threat, rather than echo the same basic idea.

OOC: Grab the girl. Then, we run back. She's helpless, so you can carry her without making a grab check. And chances are that Arnest will follow--or at least bring support to try and get her back. Consider it a guarantee that he'll return. And we can always 'interrogate' the chick.

Tander's mind is filled with darkness as Atreus falls, victim to the dog's attacks. He recovers a bit when he hears the voices of Woe and Palindrome in the distance.
"Help! Atreus if fallen!" he shouts. "I cannot aid him and fight this beast at the same time!"
Tander steps away from the beast and burns it with divine radiance.
OOC: Shift one square SW. Sacred Flame hits ref 14 for 10 damage (and 5 more from vulnerability - yay!). Atreus gets 4 tmp hp or makes a save - I recommend the 4 tmp hp as the lower-risk option (if he gets to -12 he is dead for good, the tmp hp gives him more chances to make the save)

Damn, this isn't good. I don't have any healing surges back and can only regain 1 hp from a healing affects that requires me to use a healing surge. Bummer.
Death Saving Throw: Success, Almost a 20 ( got 19) and Il take the temporary hp, since I can't regain consciousness even though I roll a 20. Just that you know guys, the only way we can stop Atreus from dying, is that Woe pours one of those healing potions of his down Atreus' throat or if someone makes a successful heal check on him.

From now on, my character really, really hates dog's.... and elves.
