OoC: Sorry about that Ferrix, I was trying to figure out what you knew when I remembered I had to roll it... at least you're using all your bad luck now, though. :)

OOC: that's what you think, i'm full of bad luck

Elkus sees there's no arguing with the officer. "Perhaps we could make him join us... but aye, we'll be on our way. If it earns a coin in my pouch, I am a happy halfling!"

Sevry keeps quiet, listening to the officer.

magic? don't really like magic... What am I doing here, magic? wizards? Aaaah the Tiefling's a wizard, too! Calm down,,, clam down! Wizards can't hurt what they can't find, I'll be quiet. But what if anyone else is there...

He finally speaks again

So is it jus' the wizard or does he have buddies, friends, other people with him? I mean, I like to be sneaky before I go stabby but its good to know how many to be sneaky from, you see?

Jacques looks at Sevryn.

"So far as we know, he's alone. But it is possible that he has others with him. We don't enough to say for sure."

Tyliss gets off his bunk and reenters the group. "Well then I suggest we approach this from a point of stealth. Let us find out all that we can about this wizard and then confront him. There is no sense in waltzing in totaly unprepared."

"When do we leave? I say right now." The wizard seems to be flip floping his moods from one moment to the next. This could be a bad sign.

"All right then," Akamarr says. "A job's a job, I suppose. The orc is silent as he listens to the mission description. "...so we don't know anything about him, except that he uses magic? Wonderful. I hate mages that way--they can do anything, and keep to themselves so you don't know what to expect. He sits back, not really expecting a response.

Jacques shuffles his feet, seemingly slightly uncomfortable. "Well, if that's all, I have other groups to meet with. You can take the Coldlands Rail south to Balcony - it's one of the first stops. You'll have to pay your own way, since the rail hasn't been taken over by the military yet, but it's only a coal note* to ride, or so I recall."

"As I said before, you work on your own schedule. But remember, you must report back within three days, at this location."

With that, he nods to the group, and takes his leave.

* 1 sp for those of you still not comfortable with the change in currency. :)

At the officer's exit, the metal warrior rotates to face the rest of the group. "It's time to go," he rumbles, hefting his great axe onto his shoulder. Ursus turns away from the others and clomps out of the room with the sound of grinding gears and hissing pipes.
