Also, there's This Orphan Child. he/she was found on the steps of the orphanage one stormy night, with a medallion around the neck with writing on it that noone can read. In truth, he/she's a royal heir who was spirited away when the rest of his/her family was killed by usurpers.

Family killed by Orcs/Drow out for revenge. ie he makes some comment about it when he sees them (maybe) but takes no self-motivated actions against them. He is content to kill things and take there stuff, mutly following behind characters that have internal motivations or intrest in the plot.

This archer lived peacefully among the woods, until his clan was wiped out, by, you guessed it, orcs. He's an arrogant prick, who doesn't like dwarves, by doesn't not like them enough to actually do anything about it, other than occassionally make disparaging comments.

Lefty is, for me, the funniest and most memorable (eschew spices! :d) but I think that while he satisfies the letter of the challenge, he fails horribly to meet the intent.
