The Crux of the Matter

Well, in that case, I'm not opposed to taking it ;) Looks like Tene claimed it though, and I think he was on the wrong side of the distribution before that. How much was the shield worth? Van could always have one crafted...

Dang! it's a +2 enhancement. That shield is worth 11,020!

No, but close--it's worth 9000 (enhancements) + 1000 (mithral) + shield price.

Doh, I thought it was adamantine for some reason.

I'll compromise though easily enough. Tenebrynn willing to help Vanitri with crafting at cost? I'll even throw a GM credit at you for the XP cost, and buy scrolls for spells you're missing :). He's looking to get his weapon uped, his armor enchanted, and the bracelets uped. I think that's win win for both of us :)

(OOC:

Bront--@Elektra, you can always get Vanitri approved first and Elektra approved later

Erekose--when you're ready with the 8%, since Velmont has gone ahead and had Rinaldo return to Orussus, you can go back to the RDI and announce the party--have fun RPing the temporary descent into sybaritic partygoing!)

If anyone wants to contribute everything (XP, GP, CP) beyond feats and spells, Tenebrynn will only charge a nominal fee (say 5%). If Tenebrynn has to contribute XP then it'll be 5gp/xp fee. If he has to contribute CP then its 1gp/CP. Costs are cumulative.

So if you want a +4 Str Item its:
16000 market cost
8000 base cost
640 XP = 3200gp if Tenebrynn contributes 100%
1600 CP = 1600gp if Tenebrynn contributes 100%
Total Cost: 12800gp if Tenebrynn contributes everything. This is 80% of market price.

At the moment I'm pretty close to having no XP to contributing on my part. Any spell costs that are paid for come off your gp cost.

(OOC: Wow, Tenebrynn's much nicer with pricing than Almayce.

Bront, I'll do the math for you if you like--if you give Tenebrynn the XP with GM Credits (but Tenebrynn pays the Craft Points himself), you'll pay 60% of the market price for any item you want, so take the full market value and multiply by .6 (so, frex, the 12000 GP upgrade on the +2 Dex bracelets to make them +4 Dex would cost 7200 GP).

@Erekose--I'll let you calculate your total new worth now for the 8% before you get any potential profit through crafting for fellow PCs)

Okay so net worth prior to any expenses is 68822.12gp. This includes the 9000gp gem, the 1000gp asset, 762.5gp in income since Oct. 1, 2006 on asset, and all goods he carries.

This means the party will cost him 5505.77gp to throw!

I'll start working on what he wants to spend his coin on. Anyone who wants me to make things for them let me know.

EDIT: Forgot the sale of Tenebrynn's +1 Mithril buckler. Its worth 2015gp, selling it through Rinaldo at 80% = 1612gp and a 10% profit for him at 201.5gp. So new totals above.

Yes, and Eternity would've been too, but he spoke up first and in character she would never do anything to undercut a fellow adventurer. Tenebrynn is a bit more generous than she would've been because he has Rinaldo as a friend and knows he can make a bit (read incredibly large amount) if he needs it.

That's half a kilobanquet! The card specifies that it can be a series of revels and parties, and with that kind of money, he can make a lavish series of revels over several days open to all RDIers and library staff (or whoever else he wants to invite, I guess). Any time you're ready, you can have Tenebrynn announce the parties in the RDI thread and I'll put up a thread to let everyone RP the party while all of us finalise the bookkeeping here in this thread.

I'll need to poke someone for GM Credits too in a bit--I think Rae is on duty in this one.

For adding spells to a spellbook, do you need to pay full cost for a scroll? or can you just pay someone casting cost to let them study it from their book?
