The Crux of the Matter

I got a question, as it is written in the RAW that a spellbook is sold at 50% of the value of scribing it, just like items are sold at 50% of there value, does Rinaldo's Bargain ability could apply here?

Erekose: Works for me (though Ashnar'd like a chance to scribe fox's cunning as well). Depending on the spells researched, there may be some you'd not need to keep private, though probably only the athleticate augmentation qualifies currently.

Rystil: Silly as it is, it's on page 179: Selling a spellbook, 50 gold per filled page. No problem on the nexus, I figured that was the case. And while it isn't terribly important yet to fix the amulet, what's the cost to do so? Eventually, Ashnar'll want to do so.
(OOC: 500 GP and 40 XP. Also, I think we need to do something regarding this selling of the starting spellbook pages. Especially if we allow Rinaldo's 90% ability (which, of course, I would like to not do). It would mean that with Rinaldo's help, a level 1 Wizard could sell off his spellbook and be richer than a level 2 character (perhaps using a bit of the gold to buy a spellbook with fewer spells) )

I don't think Rinaldo's ability should count if the cantrips count (and perhaps not even if they don't). I mean, it's silly enough that they count (actually, I'd argue the sillyness is that all wizards start with all cantrips, but that's another topic), but that can be sort of handwaved into the costs of counting the costs of purchasing the other spells (which doesn't quite work with secondary spellbooks, I know).

I understand that concern and if not allowed, I don't mind. But even then, i doubt a level 1 wizard would agree with that, because without a spellbook, he would not be able to memorize his spells (Except Read Magic... Spell Mastery feta tell it is the one spell every wizard have mastered, and gaining money form that spell make things a bit more ridiculous, I agree).

If there is someone who can fix the ring, he will do so.

Here what I plan to do with my money. If Tenebrynn want to help enchant the weapons and armor of Rinaldo and Hogarth, Rinaldo will be ready to spend CP and XP, we will have just to talk about it, because I am not sure yet how much XP and CP I want to spend. After all I have a new use for CP with my Connection ability

Also, Rinaldo can buy items for you at reduce cost (less then 95% of the market price).

The plaque, I believe, only cuts you with 5 gp, not 10. Regarding the spellbook sale, also keep in mind that wizards also can re-scribe prepared spells, it simply removes them from the mind as if cast. So, once the wizard buys a new spellbook, he can return a few of those spells into the book.

I've checked, and not counting the cantrips would reduce the value by 850 gp. Quite a dent, but not as big a dent as it could be given the circumstances.

So, is the 15,000 gp split fully accepted now? If so, I'll revise my finances (only buyng that I have to do is the two scrolls), and I guess Rystil can start planning on the size of the party. Ashnar is willing to help with repairing the wild magic items where possible, is of course giving the 125 gp for the villagers.

15000gp is fine. 8% = 1200gp spent on party!

do I have to include the value of the ring as well in the amount spent on the party?
8% of total net worth, including everything he owns, even not from this adventure. But also, you have the other card pending--

*Tenebrynn discovers that his ring has a rare and mystical jewel that seems to not fit with the arrangement of the ring's set. When he examines it, he realises that it is not part of the ring and has been attached by an adhesive enchantment. Dispelling it, the jewel comes off, and he also finds a tiny scrip of parchment with a message he can read under a Jeweller's Lens--"I thought you might find this. Take it, and use the proceeds for a good cause" it reads in flowing elvish script. The jewel winds up selling for 9000 GP.*
