The Cursed Ones

Mirnx Bavrfnx

Mirnx winces as he looks at the well lit table everyone seems to be gathering around. He slowly walks up staring everyone down head to toe.....to wing. He seems to notice the deva for the first time, and more importantly his wings. "What in the realms are those good for? I see them on bats and the such but you could not possibly fly without hitting the ceiling." He sits next to Justiel and admires the wings closer. "I am Mirnx Bavrfnx and I look forward to bleeding with you all."

OOC: I am over doing the culture shock of being on the surface a little much I know, but I figure I will have a little fun with it

Justiel looks at the assembled beings and sight. "Mortals all" he thinks.
My story is one of life and death. I was sent to protect a fair young lady whom the goddess of love had taken a fancy to. During my mission I fell in love with her. Justiel's eyes water as he thinks of her lovely face. I begged to be allowed to stay after my mission was done and my wish was granted. I was turned into a mortal and my lady wife and I lived long and happy lives. She died a few hours before I did. The Goddess was not done with me and returned me to my celestial body but I'm much corrupted by my time as a mortal and must atone by deeds for my loving a mortal.
He grabs a mug of the wine and drinks it in one gulp.

Ah, so you've fallen and you can't get up? Seres takes a deep chug of ale and winks at the celestial. I speak in jest, of course. I've never known your kind to be liars, and your story's too unlikely to be a lie in any case. I'm sure you'll be quite a valuable companion on our little endeavour.

And you, Krkt, he turns to the insect, what exactly are you, if you don't mind me asking? A deadly warrior obvoiusly, to have survived unscathed in these mammal lands. But I'm uncertain of your species. You are no Formian, that much is certain. Are you Torillian, or even a Prime?

Maur downs the ale and walks up to the bar and walks back to the table with 2 more glasses of it.

"I am Maur Deeperdown, I have led a simple life, at least as far as you all should be concerned. I live outside of town near Brodwick forest but i was in town tonight for some of the wonderful bread here." Maur grabs his plate of toasted bread and honey-butter. "I'm bored with my simple life and wish to adventure, and this ale is wonderful." He takes a large drink from 1 glass, then the other.

"Also, I dont like...." he hesitates "Drow" Maur looks away as if ashamed. "they hurt me deeply, and killed my family. But i did learn 1 thing from them, all my combat skills were taught by Laflor Dantoa, the General of the Drow forces in the Lonsar mountains." He takes another drink and eats some bread.

Mirnx's ears twitch at the mention of the word "Drow" "Ahh my dwarven cousin, on this we will share an understanding quite well. I have faced many a dark elf in my travels through our endless underworld, and have been killed by one as well. I would never look upon thier kind with out plotting a way to see him bleed, and if that is your endevor as well may or companionship be long and may their dark blood flow freely" Mirnx pulls up a chair closer to the dwarf a little more comfortable now, and begins nibbling on some of the bread.

"What brings me here?" Seres shrugs, and says with a hint of distaste, "Ambition and greed. I have payed a heavy price to get where I am today, and I intend to make that prize worth it. Only by growing richer and more powerful can I ever get the revenge and repentance that I want. Besides, there's no path of life where I feel half as alive as on the road of adventure."

"I hold no particular love or hatred for the Drow. They are cruel and barbaric but I find some aspects of their culture facinating. I only really hate the demonic races with any degree of passion, mere death would be far too merciful for any of their kind."

Hearing the mortals rants about vengance and hatred Justiel realises why he has been sent here. I must teach them that hatred is not the answer to a problem. only understanding will heal wounds

"great bread isnt it? Best in the area in my oppinion. But i saw you pour out your ale, why? This ale is the best i have ever tasted. If ever you dont want yours on the trip, assuming we get more, pass it my way."

Hearing Seres' question about his species, Krkt turns his head and looks down at him and clicks his mandibles. "I am thri-kreen by the common tongue."
