First Post
Hello, this is my first & maybe last post, I registered ONLY to tell how much I dislike D&D4, so if you like D&D4 maybe you'd better not read the following:

D&D4 flaws:

-Healing at will. ("We are all clerics/trolls now !!!")

-Identify at will. ("We are all wizards now !!!")

-Skills at will. ("We are all rogues now !!!")

-Boost spells included in basic fighter powers. ("We are all fighter/wizard without spells now !!!")
... cascade of blades !!! haste forever without spells !!!

-Clerics casting spells without wisdom.

-Wizards casting spells without intelligence.

-Rogues becoming basic tricky fighters. (& Bard out)

-One edition: 3 elves.

-Crap half-elf still alive. Tiefling included without aasimar.

-Wizards & rogues in full plates. (Not optimal due to high INT/DEX but guess what, fighters can swim in full plate now ;) )

-Implements in right hand. (I feel like Tyr now)

Why would I do a cleric when I can heal without healing?
Why would I do a wizard when I can cast spell without casting spells?
Why would I do a rogue when my skills improves without me improving my skills?

So needless clerics, needless wizards, needless rogues ... what remains

fighters, fighters, fighters ... muchkins, muchkins, muchkins
wargame, wargame, wargame !!! where is the roleplay ???

multiclass, well who needs multiclass anymore ? we've already given all the power to the fighters,
wanna be a wizard ? just make a fighter
wanna be a cleric ? just make a fighter
wanna be a rogue ? just make a fighter

alignement ??? who cares, let's be unaligned & play like a chaotic evil a paladin of a lawful good deitie,
penitence ??? what eh? I am UNALIGNED !!!

-chaos & law gone but chaotic evil & lawful good here (wouldn't something like Vile & Exalted have been better ?)

what is a muchkin fighter's best friend ??? magic items ... now that fighters can identify at will, let's put all the magic items in the player handbook !!!

it's not D&D4 player handbook, it's the D&D4 complete muchkin fighter player handbook ...

Conclusion:

I hate
- the new healing system
- the new spell system (spell butchery)
- the new skills system

In D&D4 I like:
- Races: Dragonborn, Eladrin, Tiefling IN, Gnome-OUT
- Classes: Warlock, paths instead of prestige classes
... that's all ...

For all this, I'll stick to D&D3.5 even if I know it's broken (I dislike prestige classes much).

I HATE WIZARDS OF THE COAST.

I know it's not a very positive post, I excuse myself to the moderators, but I have been waiting for D&D4 for so long & it is such a disapointment to me that I feel so ill, I would like to vomit on the head of D&D4 designers ... sorry I know I shouldn't post this but this is how I feel ...

I know any player playing a fighter or playing MMORPG will love this edition ... WotC made it for them, I use to play an aasimar bard ... what a sad day for me.

I appreciate that you actually backed up your dislikes with real reasons - but have you played it yet, or only read the PHB ?
