The Dance of Souls

Beamer:
[sblock]You see Banion ahead, diving to the side, though you're not sure why. He signals you, pointing in direction of the building in front, and then you see the outline of a person, propably cloaked. It seems to follow Gur, Azaroth and Fourdrinker. Banion then sneaks further, following the other person.[/sblock]

*after attempting a few more conversation topics, (most likely getting little to no hint of what sort of place he's going to) Azaroth will remain silent until they arrive at their destination*

*at this point Hastur is getting a tad bit skittery Azaroth will attempt to calm him down*

Calm yourself Hastur, we are merely going to see this art collection, there is nothing to worry about.

Unless we've misjudged this badly, it will be ambush and counter ambush. Banion thinks. Now all that remains is to hide, wait, and then to respond forcefully when they make their move.

Finally, Fourdrinker leads you into a dark alley - that turns out to be a dead-end. Three figures are already awaiting, and unlike yur half-orc guide, they are armed. But as of yet, they have not drawn their weapons.
"So, you are these collectors the underworld speaks about. Interest in art has become a sure way to attract attention recently, some are downright paranoid." The man in the middle speaks up, an ugly smile on his lips.
"Good for us, as it puts us in a win-win situation. We get you the stuff you're interested in, and you part with the money. Or we have to complete our other job. If you aren't who you say."

A cloaked person walks past the alley, from the way you came, but you have the feeling he took position just behind the corner.

Azaroth:
[sblock]You notice a cloaked and masked figure peeking from a window in a run-down wall, which should be in the first story.[/sblock]

Banion, Beamer:
[sblock]Beamer, coming nearer, notices that there is a second person sneaking. The two, as it seems Fourdrinker has brought the group to the place he wanted, take position just behind the corners of the alley.[/sblock]

Beamer does his best to stay out of sight, listening for any sound of trouble. He glances around the area to get a feel for the layout. He specifically looks for a good place to position a ghost sound. He mentally laments his weakness. If only I weren't so weak, I could send the spell much farther.

OOC:
Gur should also be on the Azaroth spoiler.
How far away from the alley way are Banion and Beamer? If trouble breaks out, he would like to be able to position a ghost sound spell past the alley so that some of them might run over to investigate it. It's only got a range of 25 feet though so it might not be possible.

*quickly glances at the window but does not stare*

Gentlemen please there is no need for such ghastly threats. I merely wish to see if you indeed have anything I want. If you do then you'll get what you deserve. If not I'll look elsewhere. Its as simple as that. Though I do appreciate your willingness to show us what you have.

*looks to shoulder*
See Hastur I told you there was nothing to worry about. *feeds him a chunk of bread*

Perhaps you men should lead the way to your employer's collection.

Banion tenses as the adrenaline starts to flow. His body urges him to attack, but with an effort of will he holds himself back. There may still be multiple forces at work -- best to let them show their hand before uniting them against us with premature violence. Sling at the ready, he continues to observe.

(Creamsteak can also look at the Azaroth spoiler if he wants, though I'm unsure if he's still here)

"Heh. I would have thought you would have figured it out by now. We can get you almost anything you want... for a price. Just tell us what you want, and we will tell you if it is acceptable, and how much." The man's smile becomes almost demonic.

(The alley is about 9 feet across, though it is rather irregular. Depending on how close Beamer wants to move, he could throw his spell on the other side.)
