A new adventure for Medieval Tales historical fantasy role-playing, is now available on DrivethruRPG.com.
The Devil of Passais (DriveThruRPG.com)
Le Passais - an obstacle to controlling the route from Normandy to the rich lands near Mayenne - is a vital crossing that has never been fully brought to heel. After their brutal conquest of Normandy, the English made it a priority to take this rugged border region, centering their efforts on controlling Domfront, a walled town and powerful castle that is the key to the "Passage". Since its capture Domfront has given free reign to the English armies pushing ever southwards into the country of Maine. Yet while English armies push on to the battlefields there, the invaders' control of Le Passais is still far from absolute: English power clings to a single corridor, following the route of an old Roman road that threads precariously through a truly wild hinterland. Once the domain of pagan forest cults, and only partly "tamed" by the work of Christian hermits and saints over many centuries, it remains a virgin landscape within which persist lasting mysteries.
The Devil of Passais is a 116-page supplement for the historical fantasy role-playing game, Medieval Tales. The Devil of Passais focuses on the region known as the "Passais", a historic borderland between Brittany, Maine, and Normandy renowned for its rough hills, deep gorges, and sprawling forests - as well as its colorful local mythology. This supplement serves as a guide to the region's most fascinating sites. It is usable as both a sourcebook on the region, as well as an adventure in which bold exploration promises to bring both intrigue and reward.
