Villager
The call has been sounded throughout the land: a prize of the victor's choosing for he who can provide the governor of Normandy with the seemingly impossible. But doing the impossible is not a job for one man, or even mere men to begin with; to acquire the promised treasure and change their fortunes, the characters will need to make allies of the most unlikely of creatures, while at the same time learning that there are things worth more than gold.
The Four Ogres of Cotentin is based primarily on the rustic story, the Boat That Went Both on Land and On Water (also known more simply as “The Boat That Sailed On Land”), with elements of other French fairy tales woven into the background. This adventure draws heavily from the folktales collected by Henri Pourrat (1887-1959) and Lilian Gask (1865-1942).
