If you want a straight pdf conversion.. check out CutePDFWriter, a freeware program that installs like a printer, allowing you to 'print' into a PDF file.

You can't do all the pretty stuff but its better to post a half-way decent pdf instead of a word doc.

/- and yes, maps would be cool :)

At this point, there are 275 views, and only a few people have actually commented. Of course, the people who commented are all shining examples to be followed, and I might throw together a pdf just for you. Otherwise, meh. Let the lurking masses cut & paste.

Well maybe some of us, I mean them are waiting to see if it was finished or not. :)

Careful.

This lurking mass [god, what a fitting description of me, too] can easily cut, paste, and post a PDF of YOUR work in YOUR thread and happily nab all the credit for it. ;)

Me too! Boy, do some of them moan! Especially true in an urban setting where I can't justify to myself, why this whatever has all this wealth and not had it taken already!

Occasionally I do compensate, but in different ways; trade goods, ownership, free room and board, but all tied to what they have achieved.

Did I mention it's [the dread mausoleum] is a nice little starter?

I reckon this: Tomb of the Damned, forge studios might tie in to esculating this!

I like this. I'll have to plop it somewhere.

I do the same. 4th level cohort of a PC ended up with a...+2 Frost Greatsword? because, well, that's what the warlord was buried with.

They just recently ended a cult that was using a magic/curio shoppe as a front; they've got a *lot* of low-level scrolls and knick-knacks. Could've had more but they were pressed on time and couldn't properly "loot".

They're going to meet some giants next; and it'll honestly be their toughest fight yet if they go that route. And they'll get nothing out of it, except perhaps a PC death or three.

It's the "Smeagol finding the One Ring" type of thing.

Colour me unhappy. You're starting with a CR 3 encounter. You've a CR 4 wandering monster (the owlbear). You're placing large amounts of permanent magic items. As for Kelda herself, CR 1 is a little low for a critter with paralysis - similarly the swarms. You could have her preferentially use her sword, though.

I like the circlet - it's a good excuse to bring Karthiss in as a villain as he posesses the person to whom the PCs sell the item. His mace should be strongly evil, and an excuse for PCs to Do The Right Thing by destroying it, as well as being a clue that the circlet might be a bit iffy.

The SRD ghoul is a CR 1 creature. The assumption (I guess) is that a single ghoul is able but unlikely to paralyze an entire 4-person party before they manage to destroy it, especially since a standard party should have at least two people with good armor and Fortitude saves (a fighter and a cleric).

Add another ghoul and the party may be in trouble, though.
