The Ebon Mirror: Dark Marks (Dunamin judging)

The wolf yelps in pain as Kama'zers scimitar slices through its hide, leaving it bloodied and snarling in fear and fury.

Mri'Thas takes a tactical position between some trees (11 n). Once there, he pronounce ancient words, weaving his hands in an harmonic and symmetric movement. He finishes his chant clamping his hands in a cloud of pruple mist, from which twin bolts of energy emerge flying toward on of the wolves (h 5).
"If you can gather them I have an interesting surprise for those mammals." the githyanki mage tells the others.

Magic missile: 20 vs ref; 10 force dmg

Following up on the githyanki wizard's magic missiles, Murphy moves along the trees, gathering up the fey energies stored there to cloud his movements.

He points his dagger at the wolf and purple flames burst out of the ground, threatening to engulf it. Not satisfied, Murphy glares at the enemy and his eyes glow briefly with a purple flame. The wolf reels under the mental assault, and Murphy vanishes to its sight.

Weaving a much more subtle but potent arcane ritual, Callen focuses his power into a roiling almost invisible smoke that moves towards the larger dire-wolf. The energy-runes remain silvery and near invisible as the smoke engulfs two of the normal wolves too. Then he steps closer to the tree nearby to take cover.

Riar'lon moves forward and swings twice upon the Wolf nearest to Ts'iri the other nearby having fallen to Murphy's magical assault. Only one of his blades cuts home and then the beast lopes off to join its companions in surrounding Kama'zer, leaving an opening for the Ranger to strike at it.

Kama'zer finds herself surrounded by three wolves which launch a conserted assault upon the Githyanki. The first latches onto her ankle its fangs sinking into flesh and drags her to the ground. The two other wolves lunge, but only one is able to sink its teeth into the Gith's flesh, the others jaws close upon the burnished armor and find no purchase.

Then, slowed as it battles the effects of Callen's sleep spell the Dire Wolf moves forward to loom over Kama'zer its eyes glinting with a hunters's fury as it sinks its jaws into her arm nearly wrentching it from the socket. The Githyanki barely manages to remain concious after the fury of the wolves combined assault - and knows that had her magical armor not protected her she would have been lost to the darkness.

The Dire Wolf raises its head its mouth dripping with gore and lets out a terrifying howl, as it shrugs off the last vestieges of the sleep spell.

The remaining wolf, itself slowed moves up to Riar'lon and snaps at the Eladrin's heels. It too seems able to shrug of the sleep spells effects.

[sblock=rgladwell]I am still not very well versed in 4th edition, but it seems like you would do more damage if you used Hunter's Quarry in future rounds in which you are not using a minor action.[/sblock]

Kama'zer shoves hard at the ground to get on her feet again. Fighting off dizzyness, she spits a mouthful of blood at the wolves as she swings her scimitar in a deadly arc towards the biggest of them. As she strikes deep into the Dire Wolf's flesh, she speaks like a mantra of death and life to noone but herself, "I will NOT fall to the likes of you beasts! My sword is sharper than your teeth and your blood will stain the ground this day!" As she speaks, her wounds trouble her less, and her spirit is roused to battle once more though her blood still flows freely...
