The Ebon Mirror: Dark Marks (Dunamin judging)

Kama'zer moves closer to the seated man, looming over him and looking down past her chest at him. She pushes her presence on him as an unspoken threat. "Mr. Korrigan," she says with a sigh, "what would the normal cost of a passage across the river to Fullerton be and how long would such a journey take?"

Intimidate check (1d20+6=26)
Yipee! IC must love Kama'zer being a tough girl! Two 20's in a row!

Korrigan leans back and licks his lips nervously,

"Normally I'd allow you free passage, you look extremely.... capable. It always pays to have an extra bit of muscle on these trips. But my hands are tied, I would loose out on a once in a life time opportunity if I took you now. Its not that I don't want to, a women in need can always count on Captain Korrigan - um, except now."

He viciously spears a piece of bacon and stares at it before tearing into, this appears to require his full attention - either that or his is studiously avoiding Kama'zer's gaze.

OOC: I think I should have written this skill challenge up a little differently - my apologies. I am going to say that you may continue to use Insight, but it must be communicated to someone making charisma based skill checks - does that make sense I'm a tad sleep addled.

OOC: Halford, so we would make an Insight check and a Cha based skill check (Diplomacy, Bluff, Intimidate, Streetwise)? We would have to succeed on both of those? Not sure.

OOC2: He not gonna mention how long the trip is? I'm assuming here that it's longer than 3 days round trip otherwise he could just be back in time for his other appointment. But I wanted to bring it up IC so that base would be covered officially.

Mri'Thas raise his hand for a brief moment. Kama'zer can hear the wizard's voice whispering something to her.
[sblock=Kama'zer or a high perception check I think =P]I sensed a flicker of emotion in the human's eyes as you spoke of rescuing a women. There is genuine regret in his voice as he replies, but apparently what he awaits is of great importance to him.
[/sblock]

Use ghost sounds I think.

OOC: Not quite. Basically if Callen wishes to make another Insight check it will not count as a success unless he either uses his next check to make a social check (forgot streetwise was cha based). Or he could make the check and elect to simply give Kama'zer, or someone else, the information which would count as a success.

Voda's got the right idea.

Basically you don't gain a success for just figuring something out it must be used. I should probably have made it a +2 to a social check, but I can nevr figure out why anyone would bother doing that.

OOC: Interesting thought, Daunton's a pretty small Island.

OOC: My understanding on using alternate skill checks to give someone else a +2 is just to let all PC's participate. If they don't have another good skill which has a chance of succeeding, they can at least contribute by giving someone else a boost with their insight or whatever.

Callen notes the obvious interest the captain takes in Kama'zer's position and overt flattery and tries to figure out a way to best indicate that she is on the right track. "Captain, my name is Callen and I am travelling with these fine women to help rescue a damsel in distress. As you can tell by the position of my companion, time is of the utmost importance." he says hoping to cover the two main points he wanted to get across to Kama'zer.

ooc: I believe you meant that if we were going to keep gaining successes from Insight we needed to impart that knowledge to those with diplomatic skills somehow. Attempting the same thing this round then if I've managed to accomplish what you're looking for. insight (1d20 7=15)

OOC: Yes I think you have the right of it Phoenix, but in this case it does seem more relevant than that so I'll bump it up to a full check with the previous caveat.

Ts'iri finishes her inspection of the waterwheel and makes her way over to the others. It seems that they are still trying to get him to use his ship. It seems that he is being swayed by talk of a woman in distress. Ts'iri figures it's time to use her heritage to her benefit. She touches her forehead and says "You're still haggling with this man. I sense that the woman we seek is in grave danger. We don't have time to waste finding another boat. Do you plan to let her die?" Ts'iri looks right in the mans eyes and gives him a very serious look.

bluff (1d20+7=25)

Korrigan looks torn, and absent mindedly scoots an egg around his plate.

"Look I don't want to let a lady die, I am not a bad man... Its just that, well, this is my big chance..."

The Captain looks genuinely torn. Somehow he manages to combine his angst with occasional glances at the less appropriate portions of Ts'iri and Kama'zer.
