The Ebon Mirror: Dark Marks (Dunamin judging)

Callen snaps his staff forward and brings the base down hard against the deck while chanting. Thunder lashes out in a wave towards the sea of giant rats surrounding him. 5 rats are pushed off the boat dying as they tumble away. Only one rate within the thunderwave is still alive. He then steps away from the swarm.

[sblock=ooc]Standard: Thunderwave - blast 3 targeting H6,G7-I7,F8-J8,G9-I9,H10
Fort attack affecting R@H6,R@G7,R@I7,R@F8,R@I8,R@I9,dmg (1d20 4=23, 1d20 4=17, 1d20 4=22, 1d20 4=9, 1d20 4=17, 1d20 4=23, 1d6 4=10)

I'm not sure if it works to target a blast on an angle like this because it looks like it hits more than 9 squares. If this is not possible, I'll use Burning Hands instead, which with Blast 5 can hit the same number of targets if I use it on F7-J7:F11-J11. In which case the rate at F8 is still the one that lives.

Move: Shift south 1 to I7.
Minor: none.

EDIT: both OAs miss OA;OA (1d20 2=5, 1d20 2=9)
[sblock=statline]Assuming we've had an extended rest from the last battle and that Thunderwave is possible. If not, Burning Hands will be deducted.

All of the rats targeted by Callen's thunderous attack save one (F8) fly crackling from the deck and hit the water their corpses soon caught up in the current.

OOC: We will go with the so long as its not being abused theory there, afterall its really just how I chose to place the map.

Ts'iri stabs at a few rats with her dagger but misses them. Being already damaged and completely surrounded, she casts her armor again. Just once she'd like to not have to use her armor the first encounter of every day.
[sblock=OOC] OA,OA [armor damage in case wererat move next to her] (1d20+4=11, 1d20+4=12, 1d6+4=10)
Standard action: Armor of Agathys

All rats starting their turn next to Ts'iri die before they can attack. ;)

OCC: Big surprise, no hits on OA. No perception or initiative rolls?

OOC: Can minons die to auto hits? Probably.

I did roll init, you are in that order its the first roll listed. That would be passive prception, and none of you guys had high enough.

Mri'Thas, forgetting his illness, jumps aided by his telepathic leap, over the central raised area of the ship, and conjures a giant orb of force with his chanting, and send it flying towards one of the rats. The orb explodes like if it was made of crystal, sending razor-sharp shards all around.

[sblock=Combat]
Move: telepathic leap to G 10
Stdr: Cast Force Orb on J 4
First attack & dmg to giant rat: Roll Lookup
Secondary attacks for every enemy adjacent to primary target: Roll Lookup
Secondary dmg for all targets hit: Roll Lookup

Kama'zer swings her scimitar as the rats begin to surround them, and hits one of them. But the swarm keeps pouring onto the ship till she is surrounded once more. Attacking the wererat, she says to Mri'Thas, "If he moves from that spot, then blast him!" Seeing Ts'iri get chewed on the most, Kama'zer reasures her, "Good job, Ts'iri. You're as tough as any warrior I've seen."

[sblock=combat info]2 OA's on rats for Kama'zer (1d20+6=19, 1d8+4=10, 1d20+6=9, 1d8+4=8)
Standard: Viper's Strike at Wererat AC (1d20+6=18, 1d8+4=8) If that hits, Mri'Thas gets an OA at the wererat if it shifts before the start of my next turn.

Yep. The only damage minions avoid is damage on a miss. It's the only attack I can do, other than a basic attack, that doesn't give the rats 7 free attacks on me.

As far as the initiative, I'll admit I'm confused. The listed letter order doesn't match the rolls (unless you've edited the order). What I mean is T (I'm assuming that's still me) is #5 letter, but #5 roll is 1d20+4 but my initiative is a +2. :confused:

OOC: Ts'iri's init was a +4 due to Kama'zer's presense.Regarding Force Orb do you fellas know if you get to make the secondary attacks on a miss?

Ah, that explains it then. :)

As far as the orb, nope you're out of luck. Unless the primary attack hits, you don't get anything in the secondary block. (although effects still take place.) What could be done is targeting the deck. That ends up with an AC9 target (large 5' square target ac5, prone +2, cover +2). This way you could get 9 secondary attacks with a very easy target number.

Rats squeal in agony as they are flung about and dismembered by the parties powers, Kama'zer's blade sinks into the Wererat which grits its teeth in pain.

Riar'lon lashes out with his blades killing two of the encroaching beasts before sweeping steel in a ferocious arc slaughtering every rat adjacent to him. With a snarl he steps up behind the Wererat and sinks both his blades into the creatures back.

The Wererat shifts from between Kama'zer and Riar'lon and bites at the Eladrin, but once again misses. However, the party can see the lycanthropes wounds gein to knit shut before their eyes, though it is still injured.

Several rats around Ts'iri stiffen and fall to the deck dead. Kama'zer is circled and swarmed with four pairs of filthy fangs sinking into her flesh (12 damage). Another races forward and bites at Riar'lon drawing blood. The final two snap at Callen one hitting home (3 damage).

OOC: Mri'thras is up. I am feeling lazy so no map for now,:p the rats around Kama'zer all remain in the same positions, and there are rats in H5, I7, and J7. The Wererat is in I4 and Riar'lon is in H4. Mri'thras is in J10, otherwise everyone remains in their original position.

[sblock=Combat Info]
Wererat - 15 damage
Giant Rats (9)
Mri'thras
Callen - 12 damage
Kama'zer - 21 damage
