I was more thinking brutal attempts to add steam powered limbs and stuff maybe even seeing if they could use electricity. Not chemicaly stuff Ala wolverine. I can adjust details and stuff if tis no good. You'll have to define "Newfound Science", cause I'm not sure there would have been super soldier programs in the 1800s.
Ill think about it I'm not that sure I'm all that bothered to think that hard about it.I'm not entirely sure I want to go that far steampunk. I suppose mixing magic and steam power COULD work like that. It's the only way you could get a steam powered limbs. But if I go that direction, other things become possible, and then it starts getting complicated. That's why I had the "Magic and technology don't mix" rule. Keeps things simple.
However, if you can give me a really, really good explanation, using the terms I've explained earlier, as to why it works, then I might think about it.
