Yes, indeed! It truly sucks because I was really looking forward to putting this character together and playing (her). I was also going to be the first female character that I have ever made, let alone played. Maybe that's why karma intervened?

Congrats on the new job.

So Character wise. There are 2 different ways I can see the concept I'm planing working mechanically. It's sounding like we have a lot of range and magic with less melee fighting and healing. Both ways of building this guy sound fun and interesting to me so it's really a flip of the coin or advice on which the party needs more. Melee primarily or Ranged primarily and a little healing ability with either one.

The first one is Earth the second is Air.

So if someone is planning on either of those elements let me know and I will take the other one.

Concept is basically a tribal native caught up in things and adjusting to new technology. Think Native American in the west with a large dose of fantasy.

Sounds like a ranger could work well mixing it up between melee and ranged as is most advantageous.

Honestly ill say play whatever you want 5e is pretty forgiving on party comp.

Yeah, the biggest concern my part is not snagging someone elses element. I'm really looking at two different ways of building the same guy. I am home with a sick kid today so I might just stat it out a few different ways to see what happens.

Like I said, I won't penalize you for not having every role. I'm going to try to make sure everyone has something to do. That said, a Native American-esque Ranger definitely fits the setting.

Hey Guys,

I've been lurking this thread, and I really like the setting. So I'd like to throw my hat in the ring. One thing though: I can commit to posting at least once a day Monday to Friday, sometimes more, but not much more. If the posting rate is too slow, I will not be engaged as a player and will bow out. If its too fast, I won't be able to follow. So, if our DM can post once a day or two, I'll be good to go.

If this ok and if you will have me, I'd like to get a sense of what roles have been reserved. Could I get a rundown of what people are planning to play?
Thanks and cheers,

SG

I post at the speed of the players. I typically let the players guide the story, role play however they want, and jump in when appropriate. I've even had DM controlled players, that act as NPC's, just to have some fun, though they usually have something to do with the story and don't always give good advice, preferring to follow rather than lead. This is your game after all.

But I can reasonably commit to posting at least once a day, assuming there's something for me to post. If y'all are having fun role playing with each other, having extended conversations, I'm not going to interrupt until appropriate.
