I havn't heard much talk about this, but I have to say, I am VERY interested.

Anybody know anything about this? I've checked their webpage and got a pretty good idea about the setting.

Anybody got anymore details?

I wonder what Jack Chick thinks about this?

I reviewed the old edition of The End, from Scapegoat games, for Pagan Publishing's The Unspeakable Oath. I've been meaning to post my old reviews on my web site: I'll try to get it up in the next day or three.

I recall liking the rules and setting, particularly in comparison to many of the other apocalyptic quasi-Christian rpgs being released in the late '90s. Unfortunately, Scapegoat never got any follow-up books to press, so far as I know.

More info.

Well. For those interested, I managed to get this from over at their boards

Everyone starts out as a survivor of the Book of Revelations biblical apocalypse-- one of the Meek. The Meek is the base character class. As characters grow into the post-apocalypse world, they may take Reborn (prestige) classes such as Digger (Scavenger), Thug, Shaman, Physician, Anarchist, Preacher, Restorer, Scientist or continue to progress as one of the Meek.
There are not currently rules for PC Angels, but you could cetainly do easily enough.

Yes, there are two types of Magic so far- Shamanistic and Word of God Magic. The classic Black/White magic has fallen away...

hmmm......

Well, unfortunately, I can't find the files for my old review of The End from TUO, and I'm not retyping it. Sorry :-/

this sounds like an absolutely incredible setting...i'm sort of sitting here... kinda numb now. It's eerie and powerful and I like it quite a bit.. But my question is... how the hell do you play it? I'm assuming you're one of the survivors???

You play one of the Meek. In The End, the Meek were people who were kind of middle ground in faith. They have to survive in a world where they don't have souls, so what they get on Earth is really all they have left. So it is a matter of do you do what you have to do, or do you do what is right? Excellent setting. I'm trying real hard to convince my players to play it.
