The Exorcist - Priests of Knowledge and Demonic Possession

First Post
I watched The Exorcist with some friends last night, and I couldn't help but think of clerics. All game mechanics aside, it occured to me that the Jesuit priests in the movie are excellent examples of priests of a god of knowledge. Each one has a knowledge-based profession, such as archaeologist or psychiatrist, but they also happen to be ordained priests.

I'd also like to figure out how to execute a similar demonic possession and exorcism in 3e rules.

What a fantastically inspiring movie:)

Book of Vile Darkness has rules for possession and (iirc) for exorcism.

If you want a slightly easier mechanic for exorcism, then I have adjusted the alignment domains to turn outer planar creatures of the opposing alignment.

I guess I'm going to have to have a look at BoVD now... thanks!
