The Fall Guy | Official Trailer

Eh, another case of slapping a familiar name on something sort-of-close in order to capitalize on the name recognition. It might be a decent movie on its own, but the attempt to brand it as something it's obviously not is kinda annoying.
They should update the song lyrics and use it. Otherwise, it's a precursor movie like the A-Team movie or Man from UNCLE. It's a setup for the thing we remember and like, not the thing itself.

I remember the Fall Guy. Watched it long ago. Weekly show if I remember right. From what I remember the trailer seems to capture the general idea of what the show was.

Stuntman moonlighting as a private investigator with his two friends, basically.

If my dabbling it some light thread necromancer may be excused (2023 is no 2004, amirite?) I watched this with my Mom tonight and I enjoyed it as much as I hoped I would. I am not sure how much my Mom liked it but she stayed awake which is, as far as I am concerned, one of the most important qualitative endorsements!

My mom had no interest in the movie. She hates Ryan Gosling.
I enjoyed the Lee Majors and Heather Thomas cameos at the end.
I would take Markie Post over Heather Thomas.

I enjoyed it quite a bit. I used to watch the original, and I thought they did a good job capturing the feel of it, though not quite as good as the guys who did The A-Team movie (my yardstick for these homages, as I felt it was note-perfect in writing and (mostly) casting).

Well, that'd make it a zombie movie, which... maybe not the best idea.
Markie Post and Carrie Fisher were two celebrity deaths that impacted me.

My comment was about her on the show. If she were alive I would have loved to see her in the movie. At least I have Fall Guy and Night Court reruns.
