      [/SIZE]HE Assyrian came down like the wolf on the fold,
    • And his cohorts were gleaming in purple and gold;
    • And the sheen of their spears was like stars on the sea,
    • When the blue wave rolls nightly on deep Galilee.
    • Like the leaves of the forest when Summer is green,
    • That host with their banners at sunset were seen:
    • Like the leaves of the forest when Autumn hath blown,
    • That host on the morrow lay withered and strown.
    • For the Angel of Death spread his wings on the blast,
    • And breathed in the face of the foe as he passed;
    • And the eyes of the sleepers waxed deadly and chill,
    • And their hearts but once heaved, and for ever grew still!
    • And there lay the steed with his nostril all wide,
    • But through it there rolled not the breath of his pride;
    • And the foam of his gasping lay white on the turf,
    • And cold as the spray of the rock-beating surf.
    • And there lay the rider distorted and pale,
    • With the dew on his brow, and the rust on his mail:
    • And the tents were all silent, the banners alone,
    • The lances unlifted, the trumpet unblown.
    • And the widows of Ashur are loud in their wail,
    • And the idols are broke in the temple of Baal;
    • And the might of the Gentile, unsmote by the sword,
    • Hath melted like snow in the glance of the Lord!
Well not, Really. It turns out the glance of the Lord takes a lot of Arm Swinging and Idol Bashing, but really Gruumush wouldn't have it any other way...

The Northern Marsh was laid to waste to , the forces of the Lich King were disarrayed. The Ghoul Lord had withdrawn taking with him the majority of the ghouls who had bolstered the Lich onward. The Purple and Gold cohorts of the misguided humans and mercenaries who had worked for the lich were destroyed.

As you walk threw the abandoned Tent town, it was quite, lances lay stacked for easy distrobution but the horses lay dead. Occassionally a body would find you. The 1000 strong legion had fallen to 6 who now walked towards the terrible tower of the Manlich, which looked down on them ominiously.

Walking into the tower you find its crooked and foul spawned contours are empty. It is a hollow tower, meant only to impress those from afar. You spy the stairs down into the earth and know what you must do. You gird for battle and draw sword ready to end the Manlich affair once and for all.

A stairway down is infront of you, Who are you that would enter the terrible lair of the MANLICH?

(name, description, and entering scene if you like)

Aramil stood quietly, his light blond hair flowing behind him in the breeze. He was somewhat stunned at what had occurred, but inside he boiled with anger. His dull almost lifeless eyes shone bright on this occassion, whether it was from the adrenaline that pumped through his body or the rage inside him even he was not sure.

Aramil looked at the others in the remaining group, "Shall we ask permission to enter?" He gave a sly smile, then pulled his rapier. He peers down the stairway, mostly curious about what lurks before them. "Who wants to go first?"

'We all know who 'should' go first dont we?' Kral pokes Aramil the rouge on his shoulder with a arrow before he nocks it on the bowstring 'got your back'

"First? Bah, I'll go alone if I must!"

Djiminick draws his wand and presents his shield.

"We'll go down slow. If anything comes at me...you'll see the fireworks"

Slowly and carefully going down the straight stairs you find yourself in a large room with three statues on the far end of the room. The hairs of your elvish neck stand on end, clearly recognizing a trap when you see one...

The room is about 50 by 60 and illuminated by the rough torchlight from the far end. Three statues stand seemingly before 3 doorsways. The statues depect a minotaur with a huge axe, a horrendous skeleton with three heads and four arms, and horrible abberation with tenticals. Above the doorway it is carved in relief:

"That's a trap!" says the voice of the Tiefling woman Indulgence from the back, her voice slurring the words slightly, as she catches up. A small flask is in her hand--she has apparently been drinking again--but as she glances around the room, she nods, and confirms, Yup. No question about it. That'sh a trap. Can't trust anything Manlich carves as a message." She looks around to the party, catching the eye of the Eladrin rogue. She puts a hand on his arm, and says seriously, "I'm sure you'll do a fine job. A Fine job. I'll wait here."

As the rogue approaches the trap a booming laughter is heard coming out of the statues as their lips begin moving. The minotaurs bays as the skeleton laughs and the tentical beast squicks in a jovial fashion.

BWAHAHAHAHA Look if you must but do not touch the door, unless you wish to open it.

The statues not returning to their stoney silence begin talking

Its me, open me, those other two they are the trapped ones, You doomed, NOT THAT! No! YES!

Their appears to be traps located all along the far wall where the doors are located of several kinds, fire jets, arrow and dart holes, you suspect you see poisoning stains and other thigns that look innoculous such as cleverly hidden trip wires and spikes and all sorts of things. The majority of the works appears to either be hidden under several feet of stone or behind the doors themselves. The traps cannot be disabled from this side.
