Stealth +8: Indulgence reaches to the base of the mechanism, to attempt to interfere with the magical connection between the sensor and the age-pulser, by inserting a copper piece at just the right place.

Endurance +8. By holding the copper piece in place, Indulgence is able to transfer the baneful energy away from the pulser and into her own body. The pain is intense, as the sensor's images flood her mind with the physical sight of the whole room. But she can endure.

Heal +9. Then she gets an idea. Realizing that copper and gold have opposing mechanical properties in magical creatures, she tries the same trick with a gold piece, and tires to reverse the aging process by using a gold piece instead.

Bluff +8. Having see the way that the mechanism perceives the group, Indulgence realizes that if everyone crowds around the object, the sensor will no longer pick them out as individuals, effectively neutering its power.

Intimidate +14. Then Indulgence remembers when the group had captured and interrogated one of the Manlich's minions. It was a bleak day -- they had almost succumbed to torture. But the were-creature knew their desperation, and had howled out a curse, whose words seemed appropriate to the moment, but clearly had a prophetic intention for just this moment: "No violence! Please, stop!"

Diplomacy +14. So that's just what Indulgence does. She realizes that trying to counter the effects of the pulse will be fruitless. So she behaves like any governmental diplomat would do, she ignores the problem, and places a bag over the pulse, effectively neutering its effect.

Indulgence acts in a flurry of action Indulgence attempts to lever, the protcullis opent escape the effects of the trap, and hopefully get to its mechanical workings (failurex2 with retry, you cannot athletics the portcullis anymore) Stealth +8: (Vetoed, This is a retrofitted Theivery Check, Stealth is hiding from stuff, their is nothing to hide from at the moment, no failure invalid check.) Indulgence begins to probe the surface of the timesphere with a copper peice, unknowning where exactly the sensor is, She is Shocked by a painful and longlasting jolt, and manages to retry, withstanding the intense pain, as she grounds the chronic energies ( failure, and then success, one age pulse diverted, indulgence ages 1 year for every party member and looses one healing surge from the pain) Heal +9 (vetoed, this is a retrofitted Knowledge check) I wouldn't suggest using the heal check again, because I'm gonna count your first two roles , both of which are failures. So that's three failures, one successes, and every trained mechanical skill exhausted for Indulgence. Untrained skills will lead to more failures (just as a note if your took jack of all trades to not use it, i would suggest a different feat at level up) . Let's add the personal skills: (Lets not, the interpersonal skills are not working here, but I appreciate the try) That's a total of 6 failures, and 4 success, everyone is aged 2 more years , except for indulgence who is aged 2+party members years. Recap of the situation : your portcullised into a room with a time sphere, that was on a spire, and is now resting just above the floor, The Portcullis are heavy :The Timesphere pulses with aging energy :Their are barely visible zones arround the room, that might be illusioned or timeshifted : Their was an old dude over the timesphere to begin with, who is the primordial of time your pretty sure. :It is possible to ground the time enegry using your body, but it is not healthy for the person doing it. failures trigger the surge and eat a healing surge, success count towards success and save everyone else a pulse. Kobold Stew's Basic Idea is correct. this is how you do it, perhaps a bit less at once but that's the basic idea, now I need everyone to do it. Indulgence is now played out a bit until we have a chance for other to post. The Social Skills are still taboo however, stealth is for hiding and healing is for healing or information about healing. Good Job total is at 4-6, we need 8 more success that's like 2 each get cracking
