This table is sweet!

Now I can say...

I told you so ;)

(see page one of this thread about 10 postings down)

I know I plan on building something very similar for my gaing room.

The only major thing I plan on adding is an LCD computer screen to display things for my players.

I couldn't visit the link because of internet filters at work, and I never doubted the coolness of the table. :D I'm definitely impressed! ;)

The other cool thing is that it looks like it could be built by someone with minimal carpentry skills, no master cabinet maker required

I'm no master craftsman, to be sure....

But I am a designer/artist by trade. So visualizing what I wanted was easy. And I kept it simple and practical because I knew I'd be working on it myself.

One of the best things we had at one of our old gaming haunts was a whiteboard. It's nice to be able to sketch out big areas, make notes, record xp, etc., where everyone can see it and where you don't have to wipe it off to reuse it all the time.

My Gaming Table Setup (for M&M)

Hey everyone. Just wanted to post some pics of our game setup. Please share your setups here on this thread. Below are some notes regarding what we use and how we use them. Enjoy!

- We have 2 folding tables (2X4) for the players and 2 folding TV tables for the GM (you can purchase these at Staples)
- We use Tact Tiles for our battlemat. It's great because you can use dry erase markers (no more wet towels!) and you can move the tiles around!
- I use MyInfo for all my Session Notes, and it helps me keep track of all the NPC stats, Resources and websites. Highly recommended!
- For music I use Rhapsody, Playlists set up in advance for certain moods: combat, ambiant, romantic, etc.
- The laptop is set up to the TV and I display images, mostly of NPC's and Locations. It's easier to say, "You see this" instead of long drawn-out verbal descriptions

- For handouts I create a "sample" newspaper articled called, "Freedom City Ledger." Included are hooks for the next adventure, recap of the last adventure, and actual current event stories.
