I'd never heard of The Gamers until my girlfriend got her copy in the mail recently. It is an hysterically funny film! Our entire gaming group was in stitches.

The features are pretty cool if you like to see what goes into making the film. They talk about color correction, on-location site scouting, time and effort for the project, special effects creation, and costume selection, among other things.

I second Kershek's response; if you like all the background info that deals with making a movie, it's well worth it. I'm also addicted to commentary and outtakes, both of which are present as well.

I just watched it with my gaming group after our session last night, and they loved it. They're going to take turns borrowing it to watch the commentary tracks, especially Monte Cook's! :D

Just out of passing curiosity ('cause I'm a video geek...er, guy), do they mention what editor they use? Final Cut Pro has a color corrector in it and, for prefessional software, is unbelievably cheap (only a thousand dollars).

Hmm, I don't remember offhand and I don't have access to the DVD right now. You can ask them on their web site in their forums, however: http://www.deadgentlemen.com/
