Nifft, I pointed it out because I have actually been in a similar situation, and the guy DID have an health issue. A serious one, as I discovered later. I was astonished at everybody pretending not to hear, but when I was told of his issues, I was only glad that I kept my mouth shut.
And nostrils too, ok.

But if the OP can rule out the possibility of an health problem, I am with you all the way.

Let's put it like this. If he farts because he has health problems, then:
1. His problem should not prevent him from gaming. I think this is plain.
2. If I am gaming with the guy, I'll try hard to sit on the other side.
3. If he farts on me wherever I may sit, then I would definitely talk to him. :\

Well, like I said, we'll try switching seating and see if that works. Otherwise I'm bringing some Glade and an air horn.

Hm, it's not plain to ME - I think you're more tolerant of other people's issues intruding on your leisure time than I am, though. If someone is making the game noticeably unpleasant for me and either can't or won't correct it, I'm done playing with them. Sucks to be the problem farter, but it's not going to be my problem on my free time.

Oh, and I'm not saying I'd advocate kicking the guy out - if it continued and other people were for some reason okay with it, then I'd just remove myself from the group. So, I guess he'd be prevented from playing with ME, which is of course a tragedy for him!

I am tolerance itself Tewligan, and you have a point there. Everyone should be having fun.

You shouldn't let a little problem like this have an effect on a D&D game. Here's a link for 25 feet of aquarium tubing.

Have the guy insert one end of the tubing into his poot portal, then run the rest of the tubing down and out his pants leg, across the floor, out the nearest door and into a bottle of PineSol. After that, everytime he poots, the worse that'll happen is you'll hear some bubbling in the next room and smell the delightful scent of pine trees.
